The second Ability that I had was one of Healing and I always tried to plug it in before arresting a suspect. It was very hard to kill me when it was active, as my body started to heal instantly and did so very quickly. Killing me was still possible, by cutting off my head perhaps, but it took a lot more effort and some precision work.
Even though police officers had priority reincarnation, healing was the preferred option as it was much cheaper and - with the right Ability - still faster. Don't be mistaken though, getting hurt still... hurt... a lot, and the process of healing was not much fun either, draining all your energy and leaving you tired and famished afterwards.
Imagine a simple abrasion, think of the little crust that forms when it's healing and the very irritating itch that accompanies it. Now take that annoying itch, multiply it by a million and put it on the inside of your skull... because that's what you get when you had a knife pushed through your eyeball all the way into your brains, and the wound heals in less than a minute.
I fell to the floor, screaming in agony.
In the distance I heard shouting and gunshots.
By the time my vision returned, right before I passed out from exhaustion, I saw sergeant Rascal standing over me.
