Chapter 15

The second Coraline opened her eyes, she immediately stood up from the bed without even covering her naked body and ran to the comfort room to puke.

"Coraline? Hey..." she heard Phantom behind her ngunit hindi niya ito pinansin. Patuloy lang siya sa pag-suka. Hindi niya alam kung bakit bigla na lamang bumaliktad ang kanyang sikmura. She felt Phantom gently rubbing her back and holding her hair for her. Dahan-dahan siyang napatingin dito. Concern is visible on his face.

She puked again when she felt the same discomfort that she felt earlier. Napaiyak na lamang siya nang maramdaman ang sakit ng kanyang lalamunan.

Wala naman siyang maalalang kinain kagabi na mag-c-cause nitong pagsusuka niya ngayon. She hasn't even ate last night because she and Phantom made love the whole night. Tsaka sanay na sanay na rin siyang hindi kumakain tuwing gabi.

"Hey, do you want to go to the hospital?" rinig niyang tanong ni Phantom. Punong-puno rin ng pagaalala ang boses nito. She coughed and slowly shook her head.

She totally hates hospitals. She doesn't want to go there unless it's really needed. Tsaka, just by imagining the smell of the hospital makes her want to puke again.

Napahawak siya sa kanyang bibig at tsaka muling dumuwal nang ma-imagine iyon.

"Coraline, babe. I'll get you your clothes, we really need to go to the hospital—"

"Ayoko nga! Ang baho!" Sigaw niya kay Phantom. Nagtataka naman itong napatingin sa kanya. She immediately covered her mouth and nose with her right hand when she smelled something coming from Phantom. Nangunot ang noo nito nang tignan niya ito na para siyang nandidiri.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Maligo ka. Ang baho mo." She said to him while cringing. Phantom's eyes widened and he laughed in disbelief when she said those words to him.

"Did you just tell me that I smell?"

"Oo! Umalis ka nga!" She shouted at him. Mas lalong nanlaki ang mga mata nito nang kumuha siya ng air freshener at tsaka iyon ini-spray sa paligid.

"Maligo ka!"

"What the fuck?!"

Everything irritates her lalo na kapag konektado iyon kay Phantom. Hindi naman siya ganito ngunit tuwing nakikita niya ang mukha ni Phantom, nab-bwisit siya.

Pati ang baho baho pa rin nito kahit na ilang beses na itong naligo ngayong araw na 'to.

She sighed when she heard her stomach growling.

Kakatapos niya lang kumain, gutom na naman siya! Ano bang klaseng tiyan 'to?!

Ang dami niya ring kinain kanina! Kulang na nga lang ubusin niya na ang stock foods sa bahay ni Phantom e.

"Ya hungry again?" Narinig niya si Phantom. Napatingin siya sa pintuan at natawa nang makitang nakasuot ito ng personal protective equipment. She requested him to use that earlier kasi hindi niya na matiis ang amoy nito. Hindi niya naman alam na seseryosohin pala nito ang kanyang request.

"Ha Ha, very funny. What do you want to eat? Food? Or me?" he said and then smirked at her. Kaagad niyang pinulot ang unan na nasa kanyang gilid at tsaka iyon hinagis kay Phantom. Napaiwas naman ito.

"Hey! Why did you do that?!"

"E nakakabwisit yung pagmumukha mo e."

"What the fuck?!" Phantom laughed in disbelief and tilted his head. Parang hindi ito makapaniwala sa kanyang sinabi.

Kahit siya rin naman mismo ay hindi makapaniwala sa kanyang sinabi. Why is she suddenly being grumpy? It's really weird. Parang every movements ni Phantom e naiinis o nab-bwisit siya bigla. Kulang nalang pati paghinga nito e kainisan niya rin.

"Alright, serious now. What do you want to eat?" Phantom asked her with his back leaned on the corner of the door. She bit her lower lip and scratched her nape while thinking. Napangiti naman siya nang maisip ang pagkain na kanyang gustong kainin.

Napatingin siya kay Phantom while smiling from ear to ear. Nangunot naman ang noo nito habang nakatingin sa kanya.

"What is it?"

"Sardinas and mint ice cream!" She said in an excited manner. Mas lalong nangunot ang noo nito.

"What?"

"Bungol? Sardinas kako tapos mint ice cream!" Ulit niya rito. Nakita niya namang ngumiwi si Phantom.

"I can cook you know?"

"I don't care Phantom... boohoo. I want Sardines and mint ice cream. End of the story." Sabi niya rito. Phantom gave her a confused look.

"Seriously? Sardinas and mint ice cream? You're acting like a pregnant woman—" Naputol ang pagsasalita nito at napatingin naman siya rito.

Wait... what?

Nanlaki ang kanyang mga mata nang bigla siyang may ma-realize. The weird cravings, the mood swings and the morning sickness...

Holy...

"Holy... fuck. Holy shit!" Phantom shouted and jumped again and again. Nangunot ang kanyang noo.

Phantom suddenly removed his suit and ran towards her. Phantom's eyes sparkled with excitement and he's smiling from ear to ear. Napasinghap siya nang bigla nalang siya nitong yakapin nang mahigpit.

Her eyes widened when he suddenly cupped her face and kissed her.

Parang hindi mapakali si Phantom habang inaantay si Coraline na lumabas mula sa banyo. He's been pacing back and forth outside of the bathroom's door.

He bought a box full of pregnancy test kit for Coraline to use. Malakas ang hinala niya na buntis ito dahil sa biglaang pag-change ng traits nito. She's moody, she's sensitive to smell and she's suddenly having a weird craving.

She might be pregnant—she should be.

Wala na 'tong atrasan. Phantom admits it to himself now. He has broken his very own rule.

He loves Coraline.

Who wouldn't fall in love with that woman? She's beautiful, adorable and she's very nice.

Fuck, just the thought of her going to the convent to become a nun is enough for him to go crazy. He'll never allow that to happen. He wants to marry Coraline for real—no contracts, no nothing. He sincerely wants her in his life forever.

If she's really pregnant, he'd use that as his stepping stone to pursue Coraline.

He bit his nail and all of a sudden, the door opened.

Coraline looked away from him while biting her lower lip.

"W-What's wrong?"

She didn't talk. Instead, she gave him the pregnancy test kit and walked away.

He slowly opened his hand and looked at the pregnancy test kit.

Two lines...

His eyes widened.

"H-Holy... mother of..."

He looked at Coraline who's just looking at him while biting her nails. He smiled at her and approached her.

He cupped her face and kissed her forehead.

"P-Phantom... I'm-"

"Thank you Coraline."

God, he loves this woman.
