Amanda's POV:
It's 11:50 AM, and I'm just getting ready to set up Skype. My food is supposed to arrive by delivery by the time Liz and I will start talking, so everything in this sense is going to plan. I don't want her to worry about me more than she already is, but I can't stop beating myself up inside. Realistically, I should've spoken to someone about having this trip cancelled. Why didn't anyone else think of that? Now, I'm stuck in a country I've only been to once for a family trip, having little to no knowledge of it. I wish so badly to be back in Jacksonville, in my house, and close to my friends and family. It's just not fair! After rambling out loud to myself for five minuets, I walk over to my laptop to make sure it is plugged in, and I sit down on the bed. I pull the devices' screen upwards, allowing it to turn on. I log onto the Skype app, and wait for a little green check mark to pop up beside Liz's name. All of a sudden, my phone rings.
"Hey Liz, what's up?" I ask, trying my best to sound cheerful.
"Not much. Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be a few more minuets, because A.J. needs me to watch the stove while he uses the washroom," she answered.
"Okay, no problem. I have Skype open anyways, so I'll start the call as soon as I see that you are online. I was going to do that anyways."
"Alright, see you soon Amanda!" Liz finished, hanging up. A slight smile came across my face. I so excited to see my friends, and my pets. At least if anything, I could be home by sight. With that, I got called down by the hotel staff to come pick up my food from the lobby.
