Promise Me- Part 3 (Finale)

Michael and Mario stood up and gazed upon the city.

"We have to do something!!" Mario said loudly.

"But it's fake! And Lucas is still close by!" Austin argued.

"Doesn't matter!!! Lucas could've trapped people in there," Ritchie countered.

"Well we can't allow a dangerous villain to escape. We lost one opportunity already and I'm not losing another now," Austin snapped.

"But innocent people are already being terrorized by more villains! The city is in danger and as superheroes, it is our duty to make sure the citizens are safe," Ritchie preached. Mario couldn't believe that this is the same person who yells "I am Stove" whenever he attacks.

"Y....You're... right, Ritchie," Michael stood up, "I'll go with you."

Mario smiled, but he's sure they'll deal with Michael's possible trauma of being controlled by Lucas later.

"Well you two can go do that," Austin stated before turning to super jumping off to climb the large skyscraper.

"Wait Austin!!!" Mario took a few steps forward but stopped to look back at Ritchie and Michael.

Mario felt torn, either help Austin take down a super villain or help Ritchie and Michael save the citizens.

"Look guys I—"

"Go..."

Mario stopped at Ritchie's sudden words before continuing, "What?"

"Me and Michael can handle the city, go help Austin," Ritchie smiled.

"Are you sure?"

Michael nodded, "We'll keep them safe."

Mario sensed their worry but smiled, "Alright..... stay safe."

They turned to hurry away towards their missions but Mario stopped and turns towards his friends.

"Ritchie?"

"Yea?" Ritchie turned around all confused.

"Promise me you'll protect Greenfield and everyone living there...."

Ritchie looked baffled but nodded anyway, filling with determination.

"And Michael?"

Michael looked up in confusion before Mario sped over to give Michael the biggest hug he's ever given.

"Promise me that no matter what happens, no matter what form you take, you'll always remember that you are the Michael we care for. And to never allow yourself to let your feral side take over. And if it happens, know that we will always be at your side..."

Michael nearly teared up again but quickly hugged back. Soon Michael joined Ritchie (who was slightly crying at the tender moment) and made their way towards the burning city.
