"Madam" Christian winks as he gives me his hand, gesturing for me to be his dance partner. "Dance with me?" he raises his eyebrows teasingly, shaking his hips weirdly.

I throw my head back in laughter as I take on the offer. He pulls me unto him and places both his hands on my waist and I placed my arms around his broad shoulders. "Hey Alexa, play twinkle twinkle little star" I laughed.

"What a bi-"

"hey!" I laughed and slapped him on the cheek. "We used to like that song, Grey"

He throws his head back in laughter " Yeah when we were like five! And you still call me Grey yet, you deny that you've watch fifty shades" He frowns. "I'm going to tell your dad"

"So not going to happen big boy" I laugh and hit him. We continue dancing around my kitchen until Santiago, my older brother, comes around the corner and clears his throat.

"Lovebirds, please take it to your room" He says, with a small smile. A small but clearly protective smile. "hey Christian, how's basketball doing?" Santi asks.

"Way to ruin the moment, Santi" I glared at him and he raises his arms in surrender in response. "Alexa, turn the music off" Oh, by the way, there is nothing going on between Grey and I, we're just close friends and nothing more. To catch feelings for him is like choosing the correct wire to cut in a ticking bomb—the wire choices? friendship or relationship, I don't want to lose the latter.

He removed his hands from my waist and jumps on the counter, sitting on it. "Well, I heard that there's this new player that's pretty good.. coach's words, not mine. I have yet to meet him. But, legends say that he's quite the charmer"

"Charm won't win you the trophy, right Sol?" Santi smiles. Santiago is my older protective brother and yes, we are close and he is overly protective, but Grey is an exemption to that.

"So right." I agree, pretending to know what they're talking about. "Hey, I'm heading up to my room. Have a good talk boys" I know that there are books out there that has those characters wherein they have this boy bestfriend and has her over protective brother and all that and they save her ass every single time— well, I don't need anyone to save me from anything, that's for sure. I jump on my bed and opened my laptop.

My twitter is loaded with memes and- woah, who's that hot guy? I clicked on the picture and zoomed in on the abs. Damn, how does one live with that body?

"Boo" Grey comes out of nowhere and I slammed my laptop shut. The smile on his lips widened, as wide as my eyes. I am caught redhanded and I need a good excuse for this because this is emba-rra-ssing. "What are you hiding, Luna?" yes, he calls me Luna because he thinks it's funny to call me the opposite of the meaning of my name. "Show me."

"What? No!" I panic, there is no getting out of this. "I was just-" and just like that, he snatches my laptop from beneath me and sits on my back to prevent me from turning over. "CHRISTIAN!"

He laughs but then immediately silenced. "This is awkward.." he mutters. "Why were you looking at his abs?" he chuckles and gets off of my back. I sit up and put my face in my hands.

"It just passed through my timeline, I guess" I mumbled. "PLUS! I'm seventeen, I'm allowed to look at guy's abs" I said defensively. What's so wrong with looking at someone's abs? I'm seventeen, it's not like im eleven or something. I tried to snatch back my laptop but he pulls it away.

"Luna-"

"I don't even get why this is a big deal!" I scoffed. Was I not allowed to? it's just-

My train of thoughts were cut short by his roaring laughter. "I WAS JUST ASKING! don't get your panties in a mix, tinkerbell. Oh and, I know this guy's name. He's the new player that I was just talking about with your brother. I guess you now agree that he's a charmer"

My mouth hung open "I didn't say that.. Hey, don't you put words in my mouth"

He pats my head "you're saying that but your cheeks are red as f-" and he was cut off by his phone ringing. I peeked and alas, it's his problematic girlfriend, probably triggered that he's with me right now. "Ugh, it's her again. Hold on, i'll just take this" He rolls his eyes.

I scoffed, "what a lover you are" and he just flips me off and walks out of my room. I sighed and opened my laptop once more. Okay, maybe I lied a bit, maybe I am choosing between the two wires.. I kinda like the dude. I've liked him ever since forever actually but, only Santi knows my real feelings towards him— and he warned me to not go beyond what we already have. "Ugh why do you have to like-"

"Hey Luna?" FRICK. I turned towards him with an awkward smile. "What's the matter?"

I choked a bit but I got it out, "nothing. What's up?"

"Oh yeah uhm," he looks down at his phone and looks back up at me. "I need to uhm go.. She's mad at me again" He scratches his head. "I'm really sorry I'm cancelling our sleepover once again"

"OH NO, it's fine don't worry about it" dang it, again. "go talk to her, see you tomorrow at school, yeah?" I sheepishly said, clearly hurt and disappointed.

"Oh yeah yeah.." he approached me and kissed me on the head, "I'll go now, i'm really sorry Luna" he stares into my eyes and I can see his sadness.

"It's fine, I was going to look at this guy's abs anyways" I chuckled. He smiles at me once more and rushed out my door. I let out a huge sigh and threw myself back on my bed. He chooses other girls rather than me ALWAYS and sometimes, I wish he'd choose me instead.

"Sunshine?"

"Santiago?"

I felt the space beside me sink as he occupied it. "Baby sister, I know that face. He cancelled?"

"As always" I sighed and covered my face with a pillow and screamed my lungs out. He sighs beside me. "Santi, should I look for another guy?" I asked desperately. "Preferably someone who is not my best friend?"

"Your life." He says and removes the pillow from my face. He sits up and grabs my arms to sit me up. He then pulls me into a tight hug. "I hate seeing you like this, Solana. He's just a boy and there are plenty more out there."

I pulled away from his hug and nodded. "I hope I'll find someone just like him." I sighed and looked at him as I slouched. I hate having feelings for someone that I clearly can't have.

"Besides! you're too young anyways.. When I was seventeen-"

"Oh come on Santi, when you were seventeen, girls were falling on your feet! You could have anyone you wanted!" I threw my hands up en exasperation. "Goes to show that I'm the ugly duckling in this family"

He rolls his eyes and pushes me, "so not true Sol! You have amazing eyes and an amazing personality and you're smart and I'm sure you'll go so far! I'm sure someday, you'll find someone as beautiful as you are" he complemented me.

I scoffed, "dude, I'm nothing but average" It's true though, I'm nothing special. Santiago is smart and also a student-athlete. He plays in the volleyball varsity and well, he's the captain ball. He is also very good looking, olive skin, green eyes and just an amazing body build. "You got all the good genes!"

He laughs "Okay stop this right now and get your favorite nail polish, i'm painting your nails tonight" he smiles.

I reciprocated the smile and stood up to get the colors that I wanted. "Thanks Santi"

"De nada"
