Secret Pt. 2 🤫

As class moves on, I sneak more looks at her to get a better look at her face and her hair. I know what I'm doing makes it seem like I'm a creep, but she's just honestly good looking.
Just as I take another glance, she whips her head, looking at me dead in the eye.

"Is there a problem?" she says with a little annoyance in her voice. Her face softened a bit, which makes it seem she didn't mean to come off as mean.

That face makes me want to slip.

"Ah- I'm so sorry, didn't mean to mo- AVA! I hope I don't make you uncomfortable." After I slipped up her name, she looked at me like she was shocked.

Does she know what I was going to call her?

"No! Don't worry I was just asking since you were peeping at me." As she finished her sentence, she went back to looking at her own paper on her side of the table.

At least she didn't notice the slip up, or at least she didn't bring it up. I have to be more careful next time. I don't want what happened last year at my old school to happen again this year.

*RIIIIIIIING*
Thank god it's time for lunch, my stomach hurts from waiting so long!

"Hey Levi! Come eat lunch with us," a female voice calls to me from behind. I quickly turn around to face the voice, and it's the girl who called me 'cute', Lily. "We wouldn't want you eating all alone on your first day at a new school, would we?" she says.

I don't answer, I just shake my head no, and follow her and her friend group to the cafeteria.
Wow! It's so big, I think to myself.

"We sit over there," Lily says pointing to a large circular table, with some guys already sitting there, waving at her. We all make our way over, and Lily makes it her responsibility to introduce me. Not like I'm complaining, but it would've been cooler if I had introduced myself. When she finishes, we all ate our food together. This never happened at my old school. I always ate by myself.

This is so new, I like it.

Just as I was about to eat the last bite of the sandwich I had packed, I noticed someone looking at me. So I look back up to see who it was, and it was her.

Ava.

She was still staring at me, and we kept our gazes for such a long time, I started to feel uncomfortable. I looked back down with my face growing hot.

For the rest of the day I tried to push that little incident out of my head, but she's in all of my classes!!!! And every time I saw her face, I kept thinking about lunch.
What if she wasn't looking at me? She could've been looking behind me for all I know, so I shouldn't be so nervous about this situation. But I can't help it!!! My heart just beats a little faster when I see her, my face gets hotter, and when she speaks, my little side wants to come out. I want to get to know her better.

"Hey", I hear a voice call to me, "it's Levi right?" I quickly look to see who it was....
