The end?

-Just a disclaimer this is going to be one of the few endings I make for this story-

~sad ending~

"Paolo you don't do those things" I say pushing him away from me. He looks startled by my sudden change in tone. "I thought you liked that type of thing" he said "well you thought wrong" I say furrowing my brows. "Fine if you don't want me to touch you I won't" he sighs.
She frowns not meaning to sound as mean as she did. The ride home was silent and awkward silence. Once they arrived at her house y/n hopped out the car saying a blunt "thanks" before turning on her heel.

-paolo's pov-
I watched her get out the car not even glancing back at me. It hurt. It hurt to know she didn't want my love or affection. I didn't mean to make her feel uncomfortable I really mean that but...how else could've I shown her I loved her in that moment in time.

-y/n's pov-

I walked inside slamming the door behind me and running upstairs watching looking out from my window waiting for him to leave. He did after a couple of seconds his face looking grim.

These past few weeks I've spent with him we're amazing but...it was a mistake. I don't know what I was feeling towards him I really don't but I know one thing for sure.

It wasn't love.

-time skip-

I arrive at school walking to my locker minding my own business when someone taps my shoulder. "Hey y/n" I looked back and saw you know who. "Paolo...we need to talk" I say bluntly. Paolo worry written all over his face.

I took him to the janitors closet were we first started all of this. "Listen paolo you're a great guy but-"
"Hey we're gonna be late" he said cutting me off. "Paolo we have 20 minutes, anyway as I was saying-"
"Did you do something new to you hair?" He asked. I knew it he was trying to avoid hearing me break up with him...well is it a breakup?
"Paolo listen to me goddamit! I don't want to be with you!" I yell.
His eyes waver as his bottom lip begins to quiver. I give him a sympathetic smile. "I'm so-" "I'm sorry y/n" he says "im sorry I wasn't good Enough I'm sorry I was overprotective and controlling I'm sorry you felt uncomfortable around me I'm sorry that you feel the need to avoid eye contact every time I speak..." tears were brimming in his eyes. "And I'm sorry that I ever thought me and you could work" he smiles as s tear drop rolls down his cheek. This isn't what I wanted him to say I wanted him to be happy with this. "Maybe it's for the best y/n" he wipes his tears. And opens the door, he looks back one more time "I hope you find someone who loves you as much as I did" with that he leaves.

-time skip to 2 weeks later-

It's been over 2 weeks since I "broke up" with Paolo. He never looks at me or acknowledges me. But when he does he offers a sad smile. He hasn't had a girlfriend or a hookup like he used to. His friends say he's still hung up on me and I tell them their delusional.

Anyway today the new boy joined our school and he was apparently in our homeroom. "Hi I'm Liam I hope we can all be friends" he says his pearl white teeth shining. "Liam go sit by y/n" he nodded and headed my way. We talked for a while and he was pretty funny. "Liam stop!" I laughed hitting his arm. From the corner of my eye I could see paolo. Staring daggers into Liam. He clenched his jaw hard and bent the pencil in his hand until it broke which woke him out of whatever state he was in.

-1 week later-

Liam asked me out today! I said yes of course but I can't help but feel guilt about the Paolo thing. He looks so sad all the time. He still refuses to find a new girl because he's apparently "still in love with you y/n". But I'm not...I hope he finds someone great
