Perhaps wearing heels when you are in the middle of a fight, or in this case run for survival, was not the wisest choice. Still, Rhiannon couldn't say that they didn't serve a purpose, especially when she remembered her heel making a hole in the good doctor's eye.

Her friend was running before her, moments away from the door where a portal was waiting open for them. Rhiannon was not that fast, and the sound of footsteps grew louder with each passing second.

A sharp bang was heard as the shot missed it's target by mere centimeters, making Rhiannon flinch in fear, all the more aware of the danger she was in.

She focused on her breathing, keeping it as even as possible as she let her power expand from her chest to her fingertips. The tingly feeling she felt as the part of her that made her an outcast awoke, was always worth the pain she endured because of it. Still, the spell she wanted  to attempt was not within her domain, so despite the energy thrumming through her veins, she was unsure weather she'll succeed or not. But the room was still too far away, and the clicking sound of a gun being reloaded left her no other option. After all, Megan didn't make it to safety either.

"Motus!" the word left her lips, her powers going out to do her bidding, but instead of a powerful wave that should've sent her hunters flying back, she managed to just barely push the gun out of one's hand, hitting his partner in the head.

Given the circumstances, Rhiannon couldn't find it in herself to complain. Especially since the slight distraction was more than enough for her friend to make it to the room, shut the door and let out a muffled yell.

"Rhiannon, now!" swiftly turning around, the Rhiannon raised her hand, letting the energy of her real power explode. Not the spells she was learning, but her true self, so potent she could taste it in the air around her. Swirling and dancing to do her bidding, the sand in the universe's clock stopped and the men that were chasing her moments before now stood still, time frozen for them only.

It had taken her a long time to be able to freeze things and people, without freezing photons, small molecules of oxygen and all other matters that were vital for surviving.

The first time her power manifest itself, she froze everything. She was blind, unable to breath, the silence she caused making her all the more terrified. Luckily, even at the too young age of five, her brain was able to enter survival mode, shutting itself, and by that her powers out as well, in a desperate attempt of protection.

Her mother has never been more terrified.

"Now's not the time for deep thoughts." Megan snapped at her friend, slightly opening the door, enough to take a peek at what Rhiannon has done.

"Shut it, my sides are hurting for all this running. Next time, Sam is staying last." Rhiannon complained, her breathing shallow as she jogged inside.

Rhiannon knows how to hold her own in a fist fight, quickly rising as one of the best, the frequent practice and her bad temper giving her more than enough skill, but her stamina on the other hand....  Well, she could honestly admit that she wasn't the athlete of her crew.

Just as she was walking inside, the blonde glanced one more time at her hunters, doing her best to memorize their faces, before she closed the door, conscious of the danger even those few seconds meant. Yes, the men were frozen, but her magic usually lasts for ten minutes at its maximum. And she was already down to nine.

"Shit." was the first thing Rhiannon heard Megan say as she stood before the swirling purple mass that was their way home. After a glance around, Rhiannon couldn't help but let her own cuss of choice out.
