Under Pressure

Chapter Three: Mock Battles

(A/N: i know that the picture above is a male, but it's the closest one i could fine so y'all are just going to have to use your imagination, haha)

"Wow, (Y/n)! Your hero costume is so cool!" Ochaco squeals as we walk up to the rest of our class for our hero training.

"Aw, thank you Uraraka," I smile, tugging at the cropped top, "I needed the cargo pants to store objects that I can control. I wasn't counting on them to make my shirt this short though."

"Well, it suits you!"

"A-Ah, (Y/n), Uraraka! Your hero costumes are so awesome!" Deku shouts as we walk up to him. He smiles brightly and I notice his cheeks flush a little.

"Yours too, Deku! It's cute," I smile back.

I notice the blush on his cheeks deepen and I laugh a little to myself. Walking past him, I make my way up to Iida, who looks a little worried about something.

"Hey, Tenya. Is something wrong?" I ask, fiddling with the glove on my hand.

"Not at all," he sighs, "Just wondering about what we're going to be doing today. My engines are powerful but if we're being teamed up then they're practically useless against someone like you."

"Don't be too hard on yourself, it's not like I'm unstoppable," I smile, patting him on the arm.

"I suppose you're right."

Before I can say anything else All Might appears, his voice booming as usual. He tells us that we actually will be teaming up today for a mock battle of heroes against villains, much like Iida had said. The teams are decided by drawing lots, so that way it's completely random. My nerves get even worse as I draw mine, worried who I might get paired with. Once everyone draws, All Might begins announcing the teams and who is the hero and villain. I listen to the names carefully and feel my heart sink a little when he announces that Katsuki and Deku are going against each other.

"Up next we have Young Todoroki and Young Ito as the heroes up against Ojiro and Hagakure! Villains will be team Ojiro!" All Might beams, giving us a thumbs up.

"Is that even fair?" I hear Kirishima whisper, "I know it's random drawing, but still."

"Yeah, they're the most powerful people in class," Kaminari adds, "How is anyone going to stand a chance against them together?"

"Shut the hell up, Sparky," Bakugo grumbles, his pride obviously being damaged.

I let out a sigh and relax my shoulders. Todoroki walks up to me, the same serious look on his face as always. He has his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes darting over to who our opponents will be.

"Alright, our first round will be Team Todoroki and Team Ojiro! Villains you have time to prepare within the building, you may begin," All Might smiles.

Ojiro and Hagakure run off to the building to prepare to protect the fake nuclear weapon. Todoroki and I follow them and stand patiently outside of the building, waiting for the okay to enter from All Might.

"I'll handle the defensive and freeze whoever comes out to us, you can use your quirk to get your hands on the missile, got it?" Shoto states, looking up at the building.
