George's POV
Ugh... My head... What happened?
I tried to recall the last thing I saw.
We were in the plains with a bright sun beating down on us. There were cows and oh-
I hear this loud buzzing, ear piercing noise. I fluttered my eyes open to darkness. I squinted, trying to find any sign of light. I knew I was laying down, but where?
"Heart been broke so many times I- George?"
A torch lit up the darkness. Clay's face illuminated in the dim light of the flame.
"George!" Clay embraced me in his arms. I felt warmth, it was so comforting. I rested my head on the crook of his neck.
"Wait George, you won't believe what I found!" Clay ran out of- where ever we were and came back with something in his arms. "It's Nugget the baby chicken!" Nugget leaped onto my stomach.
"Okay, that's great but where are we?" I asked cutting to the chase.
"In a cave." Clay replied, lifting Nugget into a hug.
"WHAT?!"
"Dude, chill out! I blocked the cave off so no mobs can come in," Clay helped me up to my feet, "What the hell-" Nugget jumped out of Clay's arms. Nugget grew two times its original size. I stared down at it wide eyed.
"It's not cute anymore!" Clay frowned. He pulled out an axe and slaughtered Nugget.
"DREAM!" I screamed earning a confused look, "Sorry force of habit."
"Eh. More food. Two pieces actually." He shrugged, shoving them into a furnace.
He leaned onto the cold, damp wall, sighing. I just stood there awkwardly in the middle of the room. There was an uncomfortable silence between us excluding the snaps and crackles of the cooking chicken.
I decided to break it, "Uh, Clay.."
He hummed.
"I just wanted to say.. thank you." I scratched the back of my head.
Clay chuckled, "That's a new one."
"Wha-"
"I'm kidding! I'm kidding! By the way, I spotted a village up ahead. If you're all good, maybe we can head there in the morning." He quickly added.
I sighed of relief, "Morning."
