This is a dream. It just can't be real, right? I'm going crazy.
One lone tear streamed down her face as she silently wept. "What is this?!" She screamed to the empty field. She threw her self down onto her knees.
This is the scariest dream I have ever had.
She sat in the field for what seemed like forever. Where was she? She had no idea. Just in some vast field outlined with a forest to dark and overgrown to see past, it probably went on for miles upon miles. She looked behind her. She saw what looked like ruins of what? Was that a castle, or at least what had been a castle?
No, no, no. I'm from the twenty first century, this is completely crazy!
The castle, or whatever it was, looked like it had been the setting of a war. A few towers still standing but torn and crumbling. Everything had been on fire, most with the smallest flames still burning. Every sane persons first instinct would be to flee, there may still be whoever attacked in the first place. But Zarah was not like most people.
Her curiosity grew, scratching at her insides begging to be let out. So she let it out. She got up looking around to ensure her decision. She took a step towards the castle then looked back at the endless woods.
It was the castle or the woods right?
She continued to walk forward in small cautious steps. The ruins were good ways away. She looked above as a murder of crows flew across the sky. That's when she herd the twig snap.
She ran as fast as her feet could carry her. Back home, she was a true track star. She had ran a good distance before even peering back. A cat. A little calico cat.
All that running for nothing?!
She thought about home. Maybe if she just ran as far as she could she would end up back in her front yard. She would see her long time crush Alex mowing his lawn next door. Ugh, Alex, he was so cute and so nice. But he was never and never will be into her.
I guess it doesn't matter now anyway.
