The Long Wait

The Father

Seulgi neared the child and she was crying by the pool.

Seulgi: Hey are you alright?

Iya: No....

She sat beside her.

Seulgi: Go on tell me.

Iya looked at her and Seulgi gave her a smile.

Iya: I- I just can't believe that this is happening. I never knew that mommy is planning to give me away....

Seulgi: But Seungyeon is your eomma....

Iya: No, I don't have a mother who leaves me in an orphanage.....

Seulgi: But she looked for you. She really did....

Iya: No matter what, she still was not there for me..... I love my Jeongyeon eomma. I just want to be with her. I just want her to love me the way she loved me before......

She had a break down in front of Seulgi. Seulgi is hurt for the child, she understands her completely. She gave her a hug and the child hugged her back. She comforted her until she fell asleep. When she fell asleep she carried Iya to her room in the house and Seungyeon followed them. Jeongyeon and Jimin already went home. They tried to speak to the child earlier but she does not like to talk to them. She is just too angry at them.

Seulgi left Seungyeon and Iya in the room.

I sat on the edge of Iya's bed and observed her. Her eyes are so puffy after crying. I hate the fact that she does not like me right now because I was never there for her but, I understand.

I let my tears flow on my cheeks as I brush Iya's hair. I have waited for a long time to be with her, I thought I would be so happy, yes I am very happy but, I also feel sadness and anger towards myself. No matter how I want to tell her that she was kidnapped from me I can't because, the person who kidnapped her from me is the leader of those psycho callers, that leader is Iya's father. He is responsible for everything. We had a child unintentionally, we were both wasted and drunk that day that's why it led me carrying a child in my tummy. I can't let Iya know about her psycho father, I can't let her know that her father attempted to kill her.

I have been doing my spy like work since the day I was assigned by Mr. Park. But since then I didn't see anyone do anything suspicious, I stay in the office 24 hours, I only have the chance to go home when it is a Sunday.

Recently I just bought very small cameras. I planted it on every corner of this floor and on every separate office. I always  hide in the big table that has a secret door. There I have my laptop and the headset. I can see in my laptop every footage that the small camera got. I was waiting for very long hours already and I was about to go out of the table but when I peeked through the whole I can see a familiar figure walking. I stayed longer and looked at my laptop. Then the person entered an office. Luckily I have one camera placed there. When the person entered I saw the face completely. I was shocked I held my mouth to stop me from gasping.

Nam: Oh My.

The person was looking at the watch and that person looked annoyed. Then after some time the door opened again. I gasped once again.

First Suspect: I've waited for you for a very long time! How many times should I tell you to always be on time!

Second Suspect: Shut up. I had to make sure that everyone in the house are asleep.

The first suspect rolled eyes. I really can't believe my eyes.

First Suspect: Aish, let's just move on. So, the money? Have you got the money?
