"Honey, wake up. It's time for your first day of school. You don't want to be late do you?" It was my dad. He never woke me up, but I just blew it off. As my dad walked out of the living room, where we were all sleeping, a weird feeling of chills came over my body. "Have a great day at school. I love you so much!" My mom was surprised when I wasn't nervous about going to school. When I walked in, the principle, Mrs.Dale greeted me. She walked me to my classroom which was in a long, colorful hallway. As we were walking in, all the students in the class just stared at me like I was a psycho or something. "Students, this is Alice. She will be joining us for school," said the teacher. As he directed me to my seat, I noticed that he wouldn't stop staring at me. His name was Mr.Walker. At the end of the day, I was greeted by a girl. "Hi, I'm Emily. This is Zachary, and that's Joan." She seemed happy to meet me. "Hi, I'm Alice!" As I shook their hands, Zachary was staring at me. "Hey,uh, tomorrow at lunch do you, maybe want to sit with us?" He was so nice about it. I couldn't turn the opportunity down. "Sure, I'd love to," I said. "Great, see ya," he said. As he walked off, my cheeks turned red like tomatoes. Emily stared at me in surprise. "Well, I'll see you later. Of course, that will only be if your not kissing Zachary." She laughed while I was embarrassed. "Very funny," I said. As I walked outside, I noticed that Mr.Walker was staring at me again. That made me a little scared. When I stepped outside the glass doors of the school, Zachary stopped me before I got in my car and gave me his phone number. "Hey, uh you can call me later," he said in happiness. "Okay, great. I will," I struggled to say without turning red. "Oh and one more thing, uh, I know we just met and everything but..." I stopped him before he finished. I took two steps closer to him, reached over, and gave him a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow," I said in a quiet tone. His cheeks got all red and he turned and jumped in the air with excitement. As I walked towards my car, I felt like a feather. "Who was that honey?" My mom asked. "Just a...friend," I said back. "Huh. Well I'm glad you made a new "friend"," my mother said as she was staring at me. As we pulled up to the house, my phone buzzed. It was Emily saying "text Zachary now. He's waiting patiently for you to, this is Emily. p.s, I got your number from your backpack tag I saw in class." When I got inside my home, I ran to the couch and texted Zachary right away. "Honey, I have something to show you. I think you'll like it," my dad said. He lead me up stairs to my room. When I opened the door, I noticed my walls were painted, floor was re-done, curtains and pictures were hung, and I had a bed and tv. I actually had a room that was big and looked like a room. "Thanks dad. I really love it, i mean, this is great!" I yelled in excitement. As my dad walked down the stairs, I shut my door, turned on my radio, and texted Zachary. I felt like I was in heaven because he was so nice when he was texting. The next day, Zachary greeted me with a hug. "Hey, what are you doing," he asked. "Standing next to handsome boy with a cute smile and pretty hair," i said back to him. When Emily walked out, Zachary interlocked his hand with mine, leaned and kissed me on my cheek. "Um Alice, can I talk to you?" "Yeah sure," I yelled. Emily asked me if we were dating, I said yes and she jumped on me and gave me a big hug. "I'm happy for you, now go back to Zachary, I have to go. I'll see you later alright?" She ran off. Zachary walked me to my locker, classroom, and seat. Besides the fact that we were sitting right next to each other, it was romantic.
