Clementine's POV
I just shot my best friend. Never again. Never again will I get myself attached to anyone else. I wasn't ready to leave that room. He told me to be strong. I knew I had to go and move on. I had to leave the room. I stood up and walked out. I was still crying. I walked into the woods. I heard something. I thought it was a walker. I got mad. I ran over to where I heard it and I got my knife out. I was about to stab it when I saw it was a boy. He was cute. No! What am I saying? I can't care about someone again. If I do I know hurt comes with it! "Woah don't kill me!" He said. "Sorry. I thought you were one of them." "So what's your name?" "Clementine." "Well hello Clementine, I'm Carl. I have a group, not that far from here. Your welcome to come back with me if you want." "Umm...sure." I followed him back to a prison. What am I doing? Am I really getting used to other people? I can't!
Carl's POV
I was hunting when I ran into a pretty girl. Her name was Clementine. I took her back to the prison. Dad said she could stay so I showed her a tour around. Dad took her back to my cell. "Clementine this is where you're going to have to stay. It's the only cell with an empty bed." "Okay."
I helped Clem get her stuff in the cell and showed her which bunk was hers. I remembered what I had found on a run one day. It was a necklace in the shape of a heart with a "C" on it. I am going to give it to Clementine when I'm ready to ask her out. Maybe I will tomorrow. I don't know.

Clementine's POV
I woke up and Carl was already up. I changed clothes and I walked out of the cell. I was going to the cafeteria to eat breakfast when I hear Carl talking to someone. I looked to see who it was. It was Beth. He pulled out a box. "I found this and I want to give it to Clementine when I'm ready to ask her out. What do you think?" "Oh my gosh Carl! It's beautiful and you two are gonna be so cute!" "Thanks Beth." "Anytime Grimes." He started to walk out so I ran as fast as I could away from the cell. I got to the cafeteria and got something as fast as I could. I sat down so fast I almost fell off the seat. Then Carl and Beth walked in. They sat beside me. "Hey Clem." "Hey Carl." "Will you please meet me up in the guard tower?" "Sure." Of course I already knew what he was going to say. I finished up and ran outside to meet Carl up in the tower. I walked up the ladder. He smiled at me. He took his hand into his pocket. Oh no. Here we go. Getting used to someone else.
Carl's POV
I put my hand in my pocket and grabbed the box. I got nervous. I can't do it. I pulled my hands out of my pocket. "So......do you like the group?" I say hoping she wasn't wondering why I just yanked my hand out of my pocket so fast. "I like everyone here. They are so nice." "Yep." "So why did you want me to meet you?" "Oh umm....I just wanted to talk to you." "Oh." We talked for a while then we climbed down.
Clementine's POV
Later I seen him and Beth going up to the tower. I guess he chickened out of asking me. I watched them walk up the ladder. I wanted to know what they were talking about.
Beth's POV
Carl asked me to meet him in the tower. He said it was about Clementine. He told me he chickened out of asking her. I looked out the window and saw that Clementine was helping Rick in the garden. "Hey Carl why do you have such a giant crush on Clementine?" I yelled. I looked at Clementine and she was blushing. I turned to look at Carl. His face was red. "Beth! Why did you do that?" "You needed help! You weren't gonna do it." I laughed. He ran down. He went to Clementine and handed her the necklace. He put it on her. They looked so cute. I turned around and Daryl was behind me. "OH JEEZ! You scared the crap out of me Daryl. How did you get up here without me hearing you?" "Magic!" He said just joking. I laughed at him. We walked down out of the tower.
