Aechmea hesitantly gazed at the curious Gem.

The Gem looked back at Aechmea.

As they both stared intently at each other, silence filled the room.

*Thud*

"Hey! Where are you going!?" (Cairn)

Aechmea had stood up and proceeded to head towards the balcony.

*Clap*

Cairn caught and strongly held the fleeing Aechmea's hand.

"What happened to Kongo-sensei!?!" (Cairn)

'......' (Aechmea)

"Hey! Tell me-" (Cairn)

'!?!' (Cairn)

Disappointment.... and sorrow... Those were the emotions Aechmea's eyes reflected.

"Ah...." (Cairn)

*Flutter*

Taking in the emotions that Aechmea was trying to hide, Cairn only thought of the worst.

With the loud racket Cairngorm was making earlier now gone, silence once more filled the room.

"Hey.... Just tell me already... all right...?" (Cairn)

Her voice quaked as she gripped tighter hold of the Lunarian Prince's hand.

'....' (Aechmea)

"Adamant exploded." (Aechmea)

"Ah... Eh..? Sensei.... exploded...?" shockingly asked Cairn. 

*Nod*

"Ah..." (Cairn)

*Thud*

"How... can this be...?" (Cairn)

Cairn had fallen on her knees as she pondered deeply.

"His body couldn't handle the Holy Power resulting in his demise." (Aechmea)

Author's Note: I forgot if they had a name for the prayer energy Adamant did a few times throughout the series. So I'll be calling it Holy Power from now on.

*Flutter* *Thud*

Aechmea knelt on the floor to be on the same level as the despairing maiden.

With his Buddhist-style robe floating with gravity, the Lunarian Prince embraced Cairngorm.

"I'm sorry that it ended that way, Cairn." (Aechmea)

'......' (Aechmea)

'Really. Who would've thought that Adamant's body became unable to circulate Holy Power? It's unprecedented.' (Aechmea)

Aechmea thought to himself as he walked through a hall

"Your Highness!"

*Whish~*

"Hm?" (Aechmea)

Aechmea stopped and turned to his left which lead to another hallway and in that hallway was a Lunarian that was running towards the Lunarian Prince.

"I have a report pertaining to your request to hold a meeting with Scientist Barbata!" (Lunarian A)

"Good. What did Scientist Barbata say?" (Aechmea)

"Scientist Barbata accepted and is already in the garden!" (Lunarian A)

"Hmm... Very well. I will head there immediately." (Aechmea)

"Yes, Sir!" (Lunarian A)

*Thud- Thud- Thud- Thud-*

'......' (Aechmea)

'Barbata, could it be that you're planning something?' (Aechmea)

In the opposite side of the table in the garden was a Lunarian with short messy hair, narrow eyes, and wears a lab coat.

With a relaxed expression on his face, the relaxed Lunarian turned towards Aechmea.

"There's no need for formalities when it's just us, Aechmea." (??? -> Barbata)

"...Yeah." (Aechmea)

'....' (Barbata)

"What're you waiting for? Take a seat already." (Barbata)

"All right, all right." (Aechmea)

*Clack- Thud*

"I was going to ask if you had something for me to do, but for you to call me out here. It can't be that simple, right?" (Barbata)

"...You're as sharp as ever, Barbata." (Aechmea)

'...' (Barbata)

Having said that, Aechmea stared back at the Lunarian.

"Place aside the Gem Restoration Project for now. I want you to spend all your time on this other project." (Aechmea)

"And? What is this new project?" (Barbata)

'......' (Aechmea)

'.....' (Barbata)

*Sigh*

"I want you to examine Adamant's remains and see if there's anything you can do with them." (Aechmea)

'.........' (Barbata)

After that, the atmosphere fell into silence.
