Days, weeks, years have gone by quickly and you'd think that it hasn't but it has. Over those years your entire family has been living happily in Miyagi. You were already 10 years old and nearing the end of your 5th year of elementary.

Ever since the day you first met Hinata Shoyo you two we're best friends and people always say that "both of you are like two peas in a pod!" You would just look at each other and laugh at the outrageous comment made. Though you guys were best friends it didn't mean that you were always together, you both had your preferences and activities you would do at your own time.

It is kinda like you and your sibling, people expect that the two of you would be going down the same path but no, you both picked two entirely different things like sport for example you both chose entirely different things... swimming and volleyball.

(L/N) (Y/OS/N), the swimmer of the (L/N) family. They genuinely enjoy swimming and enjoy racing with their friends. Best friends with Tachibana Makoto and Nanase Haruka, but for Matsuoka Rin... they think that there's still a friendship but for now it's an 'I don't know.' They're a talented swimmer but they always strive to get faster and better yet still managing to not tire themselves out, they enjoy doing individual medley most of the time. All they know is that swimming is fun and that's all you need to enjoy what you love.

(L/N) (Y/N), the youngest of the siblings, a volleyball addict. Same as the older one they genuinely love playing the sport and usually plays at a gym near their house. She has a preference in her positions but regularly tends to go as either a setter or wing spiker. (Y/N) seemed to grow taller than the average 10-year-old girl and was last measured at around 147 cm, which was a good asset for volleyball, she didn't care about the height difference between her classmates and acted as if it was just the regular.

Hinata Shoyo on the other hand was a jack of all trades master of nothing and had the habit of hopping from one sport to another, usually between baseball, soccer or basketball. He never really gave into that thought of playing volleyball and usually ignored it even when he sees (Y/N) play sometimes, it hadn't raised any interest in him.

Your POV
It was the weekend, Sho-chan and I were sitting on the ledge of my house porch munching on some gari gari popsicles and savouring the cold feeling. We were talking about what we should do today and the next and threw in some jokes here and there.

Our moms were behind us with the youngest siblings on their laps, they were busy and catching up on the gossip they heard around the neighbourhood. Shoyo's dad and mine were out with my older sibling, Mako, and Haru, doing whatever they did.

"They're probably at the swimming centre, they seem to only go to that place." I thought to myself.

"Hey! Earth to (N/N)! You good?" Shoyo asked.

"Mhm! Yeah I'm good Sho-chan!" I say back while putting an okay sign up, I look at him and see him cringe at the nickname I said.

"Here he goes again..." I think to myself.

"Man, you always call me Sho-Chan! It's such a childish nickname! I want you to call me something cool and more grown-up!" He exclaimed.

"Well, what do you want me to say? Tangerine? Seems fitting!" I say teasing him.

"Tangerine is stupid, no call me... Ninja Shoyo!" He stands up and does a ninja pose all to lose his balance and fall on his butt.
