All Leopold wanted at this point was a nice warm spot and maybe some sleep, but definitely food too. He curled up on his branch and closed his eyes. He doubted he would be able to get much sleep but hey, it was worth a try.

Fish sticks...Leopold loved fish sticks, and he was definitely smelling them right now. Where is that darn smell coming from? Leopold wondered as he tried to wake himself up. He heard sniffling below him and glanced down. Gosh darn it it was another dog trying to get up to him. Leopold rolled his eyes and layed back down; he knew the dog couldn't get all the way up the tree. What Leopold forgot was that dogs could bark, and bark is what that dog did.

The barking scared him so much, he rolled right off the branch and started bumping his way down the tree. Panicked, he grabbed onto a branch, Leopold did not want to fall into that dog. The dog was jumping and biting at the air now, trying desperately to grab a hold of Leopold's tail or back paws. He scrambled to get out of the dogs reach, the last thing he needed right now was to be attacked by that mangy dog.

Suddenly, a raccoon came up behind the dog and started to hiss and swat at it. Ha! Serves you right! Leopold thought as he moved racoons to his list of things he liked. The dog ran off and Leopold and the racoon were left blinking at one another: Leopold hanging on the tree, and the racoon covered in mud. Leopold worried; if that was the state the racoon was in after a short tussle, how dirty would he get if he jumped down?

"How's it hanging?" The racoon finally asked.
"How's it hanging? I'm stuck in a tree with no way down that will keep me out of the mud and you ask me how i'm hanging?" Leopold snapped at the racoon.

"Oh you're one of those cats" the racoon responded, unimpressed by Leopold's outburst.
"What do you mean one of those cats?" Leopold spit out the word 'those' like it burned his mouth, "I'll have you know that I am a very sophisticated cat."

"Right, yes, no I know...what if I told you this mud is in the same family as the youth-preserving Dead Sea mud?"
