warning: this chapter has some death, and pain. There's an attack by a werewolf so ya.

In a small house a bit isolated from the rest of the town was a small 5 year old boy whimpering under his bed sheets. It wasn't that he was scared of storms, just the lightning. Not even the thunder bothered him. It wasn't the thunder that started the fire, it was the lightning. The lightning and the wind that blew down the tree. The lightning and wind was what you had to be worried about. All the thunder did was tell you to leave and leave that boy did.

Harry saw the lightning flash and he was out of his room just as fast as the lightning was. Pulling his blanket behind him while hugging the buck and doe in his arms, the young boy ran into his godparents room, flinging the door open and climbing up on the bed. He went up to the pillows and snuggled between Remus and Sirius.

Remus was the first one to wake up and seeing his god son with tears forming in his eyes, he gave Harry a hug and shook his Husband awake. Sirius got sat up and pulled both Remus and Harry in his arms. "Hey, what's wrong? Was it the storm?" They received  a small nod as Harry spoke back trying not to cry. "Y-ya, there was l-lightning." Remus was the first one to let go of the hug and wipe away the tears now rolling down his face. "Well you're with us now and you're gonna be just fine. Remember the forest is way too wet to burn and the house has the magic wand to make sure the lightning goes straight into the dirt, where it can't hurt anything." "W-what about the worms?" Sirius gave a little smile and chuckle as he told Harry that the worms would be fine. The three of them sat there for a while after Sirius had got up and made sure the blackout sheets were up. A small battery lantern was lighting up the room with a soft glow.

"You ready to go to sleep? You can stay in hear." Remus was looking at the small boy knowing that Harry was tired, but was too worried to go to sleep. "No, I'm not tired." Harry yawned as soon as he said those words, but made sure to sit up straight. He was not ready to rest anytime soon. "Okay then how about a bedtime story?" Harry shook his head no as he responded to Sirius. "No, no bedtime story." "Okay then why not just a normal story." Harry pondered the new deal from Sirius, nodded in the end. "Fine as long as it's not a bedtime story."

Remus, having no clue to where this was going, decided to just go along with it and let Sirius tell them his story. "Now I said this was a normal story, but remember Harry there is no such thing as normal. Once in a world like ours, but filled with magic there was a small boy who had a very loving mom and dad. They lived in a house with two stories and a backyard that faced the woods. His mom always told the boy to be strong and proud, to be caring and gently. They lived very happily together till one night on a full moon something happened. The little boy saw a bleeding man outside in the fount of the woods. He went to tell his father, since his mother was still outside picking flowers in their garden out back. When he told his father what he saw the little boy was told to stay inside. His father ran outside to tell his wife to come in. The little boy was halfway up the stairs when he heard a scream."

"No! Did something happen to the little boy's father?" Harry's eyes were full of suspense as Remus told him to calm down and let Sirius tell the story. He knew where this was going, but Remus failed to see why Sirius would tell Harry a spin off of his tragic childhood. "No his father was okay, but his mom was not. You see when the father went to tell his mom to come inside the man was no longer there. Instead there was a huge mean wolf running towards them. The little boy didn't know this though and ran back outside to see what had happened. When his mother saw him she ran to protect him, using a wand to shoot magic at the wolf, but the wolf was too strong. His father went to help but the wolf was already biting the mother. When his father was finally able to free his wife she was very hurt. The little boy was also hurt receiving a scar like the one Remus has. The wolf ran away as the father went to help his wife inside.

The little boy's mom was in a lot of pain, so she ended up having to leave so she could feel better." "So his mom had to leave like my mom and dad?" "Yup, but the little boy would never be the same. That wolf that attacked them was magic, turning the little boy into a monster every full moon." "What happened to his father?" "Oh his father was so sad that he forgot about everyone else. All his father could do was be sad, and that made him mad. So the father locked up the little boy every full moon so he wouldn't have to be reminded of what hurt his wife. The little boy got hurt very badly every time he was locked up and he was very scared. Don't worry though, that little boy became very strong and kind. He didn't want anyone to feel the pain he did and he didn't want to see his father sad, so the little boy tried his best at everything he did." "Did the little boy make his father happy?" "Sadly no, the little boy didn't make his father happy till he was a big boy and finished magic school." "He went to magic school!" "Yup! There he met two deer one was a doe, a dog boy, and a rat. They all became his friends and helped them, in return they helped him as well."

"Wow, that's a lot of friends. What did they do at the school?" "Oh they went on many adventurers together. They learned how to use a wand and make potions to help people." "Cool!" Harry looked over to Remus who was watching the two chat. "Don't you think that's cool? I wish magic school was real. I want to be friends with animals and use a wand. I feel kinda bad for the boy though." "Why do you say that hun?" Remus asked the little child. "Well I'm sure he didn't want his mom to go." "Well he didn't, but he made sure to stay strong and proud just like his mom would have wanted." "I see, so even though he was sad too and scared he stayed strong and faced it all." "Yup and at the end everything turned out just fine." Sirius looked into Remus's eyes lovingly and full of care. "Ya..."

Sirius and Remus were leaning into a kiss when Harry put his hands up to their faces. "Yuck don't do that while I'm in the middle of y'all. I'm trying to sleep here." Both adults moved back to where they were before and laughed. "Okay we won't kiss, but you gotta go to sleep." Remus received a nod and was quite okay as a yawn escaped Harry's mouth.

Even with the Storm playing outside the three of them were soon asleep wrapped up together in a warm embrace. Too bad this was last time they would be able to have sweet story conversations for a long time.
