"Matt... Somethings calling me to that box." I say. "Let's open it together, yeah? That way if anything happens, it isn't just you." He says. We walk over, and we open then box. "There's a note. What's it say?" I ask as Matt picks up the note. " Warning Rune." He says. "Warning Rune... Warning Rune... That's a song! But, it isn't one by RE. Why would that be here?" I realize. "Maybe it's some kind of side quest that'll help us. Like the Lazarus Box. Do you know the song?" He asks. "It's the theme for season four of Escape the Night. I memorized it." I respond. "We found something that might help us. But, it's an entire song, so everyone has to quiet down a bit. YN, you ready?" Matt addresses. "Yeah. Let me get the tune in my head... Got it." I say, nodding my head to the best of the tune in my mind.
"Should've come alone
I ain't messin' with my throne
Gotta keep you at a distanceTrying to roll my name wide
Play a wicked game
Welcome to your Warning RuneTrust me and I'll keep you safe
Under a glass in my museum
Find me and you'll feel my rage
And a hunting dark mazeThis is your Warning Rune
Warning Rune, hey, hey
Your Warning RuneTrust me and I'll keep you safe
This is your Warning Rune, hey, heyYour friends will pay a toll
While I gather all their soul
You're the reason they are hereYou may think escape
But the evils got a hold
You can never go and leaveTrust me and I'll keep you safe
Under a glass in my museum
Find me and you'll feel my rage
And a hunting dark mazeThis is your Warning Rune
Warning Rune, hey, hey
Your Warning RuneTrust me and I'll keep you safe
This is your Warning Rune, hey, hey..."I notice a stone in my hand. "The Guardian Angel Stone. And a note?" I murmur. "Place this stone to your forehead, and choose the characteristics of one guardian angel wisely. Everyone will know your decision, for your outfit will change to their uniform." I murmur. I bring it up to my forehead. I see Nikita and Matt, but before I could choose, I see a blinding light. I look at the source, to see a familiar blue mug. He doesn't seem to realize we're here, because he has no hesitation shouting, "Woah! What the heck?! I pressed Inkwell, not wherever this is!" I pause for a moment, then decide to speak. "Wait... Mugman?!" The Cuphead gang gets behind him, ready to attack if he goes out of line. The Mug looks up at me confused, but his figure shrinks back in fear as he realizes he's not alone. "W-where am I? Who are all of you, and what have you done to my friends?!" Mugman asks. I jump off the pedistal I was on, and slowly walk towards him. "I don't know where we are, I'll introduce all of us later, and we haven't done anything to your friends." I say, kneeling to his height. My eyes shone with concern, and told that I was being truthful. "Wait... This is one of the 'Alternate Dimensions' he was talking about. Allow my to introduce myself. My name is Mugman, and I'm not actually from your universe." Mugman says. Matt pushes toward the front of the crowd. "That who was talking about?!" He yells, louder than he probably should've. I motion for Matt to calm down, then turn to Mugman. "We know who you are, Mugman. You're brothers with Cuphead, you know Elder Kettle, etc." I say, hoping I don't freak him out. "No, you don't know who I am. Whoever you two are, I'm actually from an Alternate Universe." Mugman attempts to explain. "There are Seventeen people here!" Mark yells. Both Nathan and Sean go to calm him down. "Can I at least explain myself and why I'm here?!" Mugman asks, getting slightly angered. "We know that universe though. Your from Inkwell right?" Matt asks, ignoring what Mugman had just said. "Of course you can explain yourself Mugman. EVERYBODY SHUT UP!!!" Everyone is quiet, shocked that I had yelled. I gesture for him to explain, do he does so. "In my universe, I was possessed by this phone thing called a Premium. My brother and a few of his allies saved me... Well, a fake version of me. I was trapped in this... Void, with a weird thing, and he gave me this watch. Also, I didn't appear from the stone thing, we both just coincidentally did this at the same time. So, no Mr Matt, you don't know my universe." Mugman explain. I think over everything, then decide to speak. "Now it's our turn to explain. Matt here is saying he knows your universe, because in our universe, you're in a videogame. You're fictional. Now, as for why we're here, I figured that out, besides myself and you Mugman. See, they all did a musical based off your videogame, and my best guess is that we're in some kind of Cuphead Escape room." I explain as everyone backs up to give Mugman and I some space. "A stone... I needed a stone that looked like that. Maybe... I could have it?" He asks. "Give me a moment, then I'll give it to you." I murmur, then put the stone up to my forehead. I choose Matt, and feel my attire change to the SAE uniform. I give the stone to Mugman, but stay close to him incase anything happens. "Thank you. When I leave, I'll be sure to remember you. However, I need to explore to see if any behavior from my world is going on. Mind if I stay for a little while?" He asks. "Not at all! Let me introduce you to everyone. I'm YN, and in my universe I'm homeless..." I then go on to introduce everyone else to Mugman, tell him their names and what they do, ending with AJ. "AJ here cast everyone as their characters in the musical." I explain. I feel a sudden pain in my foot and realize Mugman had stepped on it. "Your shoes hurt worse than King Dice's, and I thought his were bad!" I exclaim, holding my foot while jumping to keep balance. "Oh! I'm sorry! Is that why you flash into different humans every few minutes? Wait... YN... Your name is only something I hear in roleplay books or something..." Mugman trails off. "That's... Odd. There's something about this place that gives me different outfits. Wait, why aren't you confused by the fact that I brought up King Dice?" I ask, tilting my head a bit. "Sort of, I guess. Why, does it matter?" He asks. "I don't know if it does or not, if I'm being completely honest. Go ahead and explore. Don't let me keep you." My voice suddenly sounded exhausted. I walk over to a far corner as Mugman explores. I sing a soft tune, one that always helped clear my head. "Isn't it Lovely, all alone? Heart made.if glass, my mind of stone. Tear me to pieces, skin to bone. Hello, welcome home." Mugman looks over at me. "I've heard that song before... It was-" He gets cute off by a voice that gave me shivers. "Hey Mugs. I found you..." Mug panicks, yelling, "OH NO!!! HE FOUND ME!!!" I jump up, every tired fiber of my body gone forever. Mark and I both run at the figure, attacking it as Gwen and Nathan guard Mugman. "I'm sorry! I gotta go! I can't risk it hurting you guys!" Mugman says, fumbling with some kind of watch thing. His body starts glowing green, and my eyes widen. "We'll be fine Mugman! We've been through worse! Stay!" I yell. Everyone else nods in agreement. "I'm sorry YN. It's already happening. I can't-" He doesn't get the chance to finish his sentence as he and the figure disapear. Mark fall on top of me, since that... Thing... Vanished. I get out from under him, and look at where Mugman was just standing, and see a note and a box. I walk over, and read the note, which says 'Thank you.' and was signed by Mugman. Tears from an unknown origin fall from my eyes. Soon my face burns with their stains, and everyone backs up, seeing I need to be left alone. I open the box with my trembling hands, and gasp at what I see. It was the stone. Mugman had forgot it in his panick to get out of here. "Mugs needs this to get himself home! Matt! Is there anything I can do to get it to him?!" I ask, turning around. "Why do you care about Mugman so much YN?" He asks. "Because... Because he reminds me of myself. I only wish I had said goodbye, or something of the sort!" I sob, tears that I was trying to hold back falling. A small puddle of tears where I had been kneeling had formed. "You really think Mugman will be safe?! No, I will kill him and rid him of his brother! You can't stop me!" I hear the figure say. "Everyone. Behind me. Now." I order. I look at the figure, anger clearly shone in my (eye color) gaze. "Who are you anyways?!" I snarl. "I can't tell you that, it would spoil the surprise. So long, I've got a Mug to hunt!" As he was about to teleport away, I tackle him, blinded by sheer rage. The rest of the group yells, but they are distance. I cannot hear them. My only objective is to kill this thing threatening Mugman. "Get off me or I swear, I'll kill everyone you love!" The figure snarls. I get off him, but only back up about a foot away. "I love nobody!" I hiss, ready to jump at it again. "Well, why are you so concerned anyway?! He doesn't belong in your world, you should hate him! So, goodbye!" I jump, only to be met with air. I get into a sitting position, and one more tear falls from my eye. "Why am I so concerned?" I ask myself. I can't help but thinking that the figure has a point. The group comforts me, starting with Adri hugging me from behind. When she lets go, I walk away, making the excuse that I need sometime for myself to think. I face the wall, and sing a song softly. "They act all nice at first, they even save you up a chair. What do they want? This is a trick. This is a trap. I can't go on, hide in the bathroom til their gone, no way someone would actually want me. This is all my fault..." I look at the wall, my vision blurred from tears, and see the figures devilish smile as he creeps up on Mugs. "What the heck?! How- nevermind that. Mugs look out!" I yell quietly. No one comes by, thinking that I'm just saying my thoughts aloud. The figure attacks Mugs, and the sight dissapears, being replaced with the words 'His Fate.' I collapse, more tears fall. "No... I can't let that happen. What did he say was making him teleport, a watch?" I ask. After a moment my vision blurs, and I pass out from exhaustion.
