A new year marks new Field Recruits. Today, Blade Masters, Assassins, Gunslingers, and Soul Dancer trainees stand before their four captains. The students talk among each other, sharing their anxious thoughts before the announcements commence in front of Cassel High School. The Blade Master captain, a stern man with piercing blue eyes and hair as white as snow, examines the new FRs closely. Next to him, the Gunslinger captain, a tan young woman with curled brown hair that slightly passes her shoulders and emerald green eyes, reads through some papers she holds. The third captain, a fair-tone Assassin young woman with long dark brown hair tied up in a ponytail and dark brown eyes, speaks with the fourth captain. The Soul Dancer captain with a fair skin tone, black hair, and soft grey eyes nods at her calmly.

Finally, he speaks out, "everyone, settle down," the crowd jerks their attention at him. "Welcome new Field Recruits. I am a Soul Dancer; call me Captain Lucas. We are excited to begin training with you all, but before that, we will need to explain a few things."

The Gunslinger captain follows, "I am Captain Suzy, a Gunslinger. We want everyone to separate into your classes now." The crowd moves into their positions as they break off into groups. The Assassin captain steps up.

"As all of you know, being a Field Recruit just because you desire to be one will not get you very far. You need to have the skills, mind, strength, and, most importantly, the loyalty to become an FR. This training will not be easy, and only sixteen of you will achieve the position. However, that does not mean we want our trainees to push themselves to the point of releasing their dangerous and forbidden Blood Rage skill," she nods towards the Blade Master captain.

"Indeed, thank you, Captain Gizzah. The name is Captain Thoron and let me tell you that most of you will wish you had chosen to join the Police Officers instead," he looks at the recruits without reflecting any emotion in his eyes. Then he continues, "the classes will be assigned to their Stage One captain as follows; Blade Master rookies, you'll be training with Captain Gizzah. Gunslinger newbies, you will be working with Captain Lucas. Soul Dancer beginners, with Captain Suzy. Finally, Assassin amateurs will be with me; congratulations," the crowd let out snickers at his name-calling, but the captain's expression remains unchanged.

Captain Suzy gives him a look, "alright, students, follow your assigned captains."

The captains start walking out in different directions, and the various trainees follow behind. Captain Gizzah leads her group of blade masters down a clearing surrounded by dark stoic trees. The orange and yellow leaves dance around as the wind carries them along an invisible path. Gizzah stops and turns around to face the trainees. Before she begins, however, a blue-haired student raises his hand. Gizzah nods at him, "yes?".

"What exactly do they think we'll learn from training with an Assassin captain? Doesn't everybody know that Assassins are too weak to defeat a Blade Master anyway," he glares at Gizzah.

"Kyle, she's a captain. She's far more skilled than us," another trainee puts his hand on Kyle's shoulder.

Captain Gizzah surveys the two, "listen to your buddy. All classes are capable of defeating one another with the right thinking and preparation."

Kyle shakes his friend's hand off his shoulder, "we are Blade Masters. What could we possibly learn from an Assassin?"

Some of the trainees start bickering with similar comments as Kyle's. Gizzah sighs, "listen up, everyone, do all of you honestly believe that you will always be fighting against a fellow Blade Master," the trainees fall silent, "don't be foolish. Stage One's purpose is to teach you how to fight against different classes from you. All of you know your own class's skill set well, but right now, none of you would stand a chance against a different class. Much less would you be able to fight a dragon? Sure, you may know the names of each class's skills. However, you don't have the experience of physically combating them. Consider your book studies useless at this point," the captain repositions herself for combat, "with that, who would like to try going up against me first?"
