it was windy in the small town of Homes Chapel. it didn't ever seem like there was a nice sunny day in this tiny part of the UK. but at least it was better than the mean streets of New York. i moved the last of the boxes of into my brother Zayns apartment. he and Gigi had welcomed me into their home, after the accident in New York.
after the horrible incident that made me feel empty and hopeless, i felt as if there was no place where i was good enough.
"thank you for letting me stay here zz, it was rough out there in New York," i said engulfing my brother into a hug.
"no problem anna, are you ever gonna tell me what happened out there?" zayn asked me with worry in his eyes.
"that's a story for a very different time. i think i'm gonna go explore a little, maybe find a job or something." i soiled at him to make sure that he knew i was okay.
"okay, be safe. i love you." he pulled me into a hug and i got in my car.
as i got into my white jeep and turned it, on the sweet sound of fleetwood mac filled my car i happily drove to the nearest record shop in the small town. as i walked into the record shop i collided with someone much bigger, as i picked my self up from the ground my eyes met bright green ones i instantly felt awful.
" oh shit! i'm so sorry, i can pay for it if you want." i said looking at the broken record,
" it's all good love," his raspy voice says.
" i'll buy a new one, i promise." i pulled his arm and dragged him into the store.
i looked around a found the vinyl. "rumors" by fleet wood mac, he's my type of guy. we stayed silent as i paid for it. i noticed a 'for hiring' sign by the cash register and i almost jumped for joy. i think he noticed how excited i got because he chuckled.
"if you start working here i'll really enjoy coming here more often," he said with a wink.
little did i know i would be seeing him more often than either of us expected.
