PART 17

(Jace arrives at home and inserts the flash to his laptop)
Jace: it's now or never (plays the video)
Owen: if you're watching this, you probably already know that am dead, I went for a task didn't complete it and got myself killed. I've done horrible things in my life but it was all for a reason, I became Leigh's accomplice when I was still a child, I didn't understand her plan so I went along with it. When I grew up, I finally understood her plan and I wanted out but she threatened to kill everyone I loved. If Jace had died I wouldn't be able to live with myself, so I decided to play her game and I found out some interesting things. The reason she wants to kill the Downs so bad is because Kel's Dad killed her parents. And another thing, tell Riele am sorry, tell her there is still hope for her, tell El I love her and Jace I will never stop being your younger brother by 10 seconds. Thanks bro, I love you and another thing don't call me Pat ever again. Peace out
Jace:(pauses the video) what just happened? My brother was forced to work with Leigh because she threatened my life and now he's dead and it's my fault. I will avenge you O, I will kill Leigh. First, I've gotta tell El (shouts her name) Ella, Ella
Ella: do you have to yell?
Jace: come here
Ella:(enters his room) what do you want Lee?
Jace: I just watched a video that you really need to see
Ella: o--kay
Jace:(plays the video)
Ella:(watches the video and crying) Jace is this true?
Jace: yes El, Owen is dead
Ella: mom killed her son why would she do that?
Jace: I don't know but rest assured, I will kill her once and for all
Ella: I've gotta tell Riele (dials Riele's landline number)
Riele:(answers) who is it?
Ella: it's me El
Riele: what's up?
Ella: Rie, listen to me (tells her everything)
Riele:(crying) Owen's dead?
Ella: yes he is
Riele: and he helped Leigh because she threatened our lives?
Ella: yup, that's about right
Riele: he had such a big heart but he's dead cos of us, this is what am talking about, I'm sick and tired of putting everyone in danger
Ella: don't blame yourself, it's not your fault
Riele: it is and maybe you should stop calling me before you become a target (hangs up) I need to leave
(The following week, Riele is ready to go back to Canada, she's already at the airport when Jace stopped her)
Jace: Rie!
Riele: what are you doing here Jace?
Jace: you can call me Lee
Riele: ok. What are you doing here Lee?
Jace: you can't board that plane
Riele: why?
Jace: cos my mom is going to bomb it
Riele: come on Jace, you're just trying to get me to stay but I can't
Jace: I want you to stay but am not lying
Announcer: if you're for flight 1403 from Cleveland to Canada please start moving to the plane we're scheduled to take off in 40 seconds
Riele: Jace, let me go or I'll miss my flight
Jace: it'll be nice if you missed your flight
Announcer: we are no longer accepting people for the flight to Canada
Jace: good
Riele: Jace it's your fault am no longer going to Canada
Jace: you'll thank me later
Riele: thank you?
Jace: you're welcome
Riele: you don't get it do you? Everyone who associates with my family and I end up dead but I lost my family, I almost lost you and now Owen's dead
Jace: maybe you don't get it, we all chose to be friends with you you didn't force us. I decided to save you and you're the reason I came back and I have a duty to protect you I can't do that when you're in another country. And maybe you don't see it but you bring out the best in the people you meet and that's why I love you (kissed her)
Riele:(kisses back, after 5 seconds she pulls away) thanks Lee, I love you too
(Suddenly, the plane within 2 minutes of take off explodes in mid air and the pieces of the plane comes crashing on them. After sometime, it stops)
Jace: told ya
Riele: thanks Lee
Jace: anytime
Riele: so, what now?
Jace: you're going to stay in my house
Riele: really?
Jace: of course, you're always welcome
Riele: thanks
Jace: you say "thanks" a lot
Riele: I know. Let's go (leaves with Jace)

Jace once again saves Riele's life and she's going back to the Norman house. Owen's dead and they all feel bad about it
