As soon as I walked through the door I saw her, she saw me too and she looked like she'd seen a ghost
"Seraph?" She said still in shock
"Hey little star" I said with a slight laugh
We're best friends and we have nicknames for eachother but we haven't seen eachother in a while
"Ser, what are you doing here?" She asked as she enveloped me in a hug
"Abuela" was all I said
"Wait,did she... did they, what about you?" She started rambling like she always does
"Shhh" I hushed her as I hugged her back
"She's fine"
"Oh thank god" she sighed
The clearing of a throat behind me cut our reunion short
"You know her" The husky voice of the alpha said
"She's my cousin" I stated rather coldly
Macy just gaped at me as we stood back from our embrace
I gave her a look that said "I'll tell you later"
She seemed to get the memo because she nodded and turned to the alpha
"Alpha" she said as she bowed her head in respect
"Macy" he said with a nod
"Can you please show Seraph to my room?"
"No" I said rather quickly
"No?" He asked surprised
"No, I'm not sleeping in the same room as you"
"As you wish" he said sounding a bit disappointed
"Can you please show Seraph to the room next to mine?" He said again
"Yes alpha" Macy said as she grabbed my hand and led me upstairs
"He's your mate, isn't he?" She asked as soon as we were out of earshot
"Yeah"
"Just promise me you'll be careful around him"
"I promise" I said without hesitation
"And you know that whenever I promise something I tend to keep that promise" I said a bit more jokingly
"I know" she laughed
