I sat at my kitchen counter, turning my phone in my fingers as I stared down at the number scribbled on the piece of paper. I need a ride to my car. Ashton is working, Stas is out shopping with her sister, and I don't know who else to ask.

Swallowing all of my pride, I typed the number into my phone and wrote out a text.

Me: Hey Jimmy, it's Natalina from last night

Number: Natalina?

Me: Yeah, from The Codename, you took me home last night...

Number: This isn't Jimmy, I'm sorry.

Me: I'm sorry. That's what I get for just trusting a random guy

Number: What do you mean?

Me: My car broke down and this Jimmy guy stopped to pick me up and give me a ride home. He had been in the club where I work before he stopped. He gave me this number and said to text if I need anything.

Number: Well what do you need? Maybe I can help.

Me: I just needed a ride back to my car so I can wait for the tow truck.

Number: I can give you a ride. Just text me your address.

Me: You really don't have to do that, it's okay.

Number: No, I insist.

I swallowed my pride and sent the number my address. I must be so stupid, but if I don't get my car towed today, I'll get fined. I pulled on my vans and grabbed my bag as I waited for whoever I was texting to pull into my driveway. I watched out my front window until I saw a white truck pull in. I walked out, locking my front door before I walked up to the truck. I opened the passenger door and climbed inside, turning to the last person I expected to see.

"Hey," he choked on his words.

"Hey, Jimmy gave me your number instead?" I asked, "sneaky."

"When did he give you a number at all?" Chris asked, "I didn't see any of my friends talk to you last night."

"He stopped when he saw me standing outside on the side of the road, remember. You were passed out in the backseat," I smiled, "I helped Jimmy get you guys inside and then he brought me home."

"Right... Oh god, that's embarrassing," Chris cleared his throat before he flipped his truck in reverse and started backing out of my driveway.

"Well Natalina, it's nice to meet you," Chris smiled.

"I met you last night," I laughed, "but, it's nice to meet you too. Jimmy just had to go and ruin the fun."

"What fun?" Chris asked.

"I told him not to tell you my name after I figured out you were one of his friends. Since you not knowing my name, but me knowing yours, could have been fun the next time I saw you," I explained with a laugh.

Chris shook his head with a chuckle, "That's... kind of brilliant. God, I'm sorry for anything any of us might have said or done."

"You guys were fine," I laughed, "you were the only one who said anything to me after you left the club."

"Oh no, I'm sorry," Chris apologized again, "hopefully I didn't say anything that should've gotten me punched."

"Not quite punched, I couldn't understand most of the things you said anyway," I giggled, "Jimmy did call you adorable though."

Chris parked his car on the side of the road in front of mine, turning it off before he turned to me.

"Thank you," I smiled.
