(this chapter explains y/n's and johnny's parents:p)

y/n's pov
"hey babe." chenle smiled happily, slowly it faded away when he saw liwei. "here's your drink." he continued, shaking his head as he sat down. "thanks." i smiled while taking a sip as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"i'm getting a refill." liwei stated and walked off with her friend. "having fun?" chenle asked, placing his hand on top of mine. "no not really." i admitted quietly, leaning on his chest. "do you wanna get out of here?" he asked, twirling the ends of my hair. "no, it's fine." i said. "no if you don't want to-"

"hello, you two." jaehyun smirked as he sat beside chenle. "taking care of my sister huh?" johnny asked, following jaehyun's actions. "yes, i am. but yeah, y/n, do you wanna get out if here?" chenle asked again, i nodded in response. "alright, johnny, i'll take y/n home." johnny nodded and waved us goodbye.

chenle drove back to my house and we decided to watch a movie instead. "hey, babe, where did you put my hoodies?" chenle called from the living room.

does he really have to call me that, even when we're alone?

"they're in my room!" i responded, tying my hair into a bun as chenle walked into my room and jumped on my bed.

"y/n?"

"hm?"

"why haven't you had a boyfriend before?" chenle asked, leaning his back on my headboard. "i guess no one's ever liked me that way before." i said, sitting in front of him. "that's a lie, because i know for a fact that hwang hyunjin asked you to the dance last year." chenle laughed.

"well, love and dating. i enjoy reading books about it, thinking about it, watching films. then it's scary in a way." i explained, lying on my back and fiddling with the hem of my oversized shirt. "scary? why's it scary?" chenle asked, sitting up straight in interest. "i guess, the more people you let into your life, the more they could just walk out." i said, staring at the ceiling.

"is it... because of your parents?" chenle asked hesitantly. i nodded. "johnny told me that they had bad business with people, so they left us with our aunties, uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers." i explained, thinking about the short flashbacks i had.

johnny's pov as a child:
"johnny, you need to stay with your aunt. your father and i need to go somewhere." my mother explained shortly, zipping up her bag. "where are you going?" i asked eagerly. "johnny, sweetie, it's an important place. when you are older, your uncle will explain, and when you learn, i want you to tell your sister. i love you johnny." she finished by kissing my forehead and hugging my tightly before giving a kiss to y/n, who was playing with her toys.

"johnny, i want you to work hard and stay strong when you are older. i want you to look after y/n when you guys become big kids. i love yoy so much, son." my dad said, hugging my tightly and kissing my forehead before doing the same to y/n.

"bye johnny! bye y/n!" they called with tears in their eyes, why are they crying?

"bye mum and dad!" y/n and i waved them off as our aunty and uncle lead us back inside as they drove off.

y/n's pov, present time:
"you don't seem to be afraid with me though." chenle said, tilting his head as he brought me back into our conversation. "that's because we're fake dating." i said, turning to face him.

"wow," chenle sighed deeply. "alright, ladies and gentlemen, you can rely on y/n to be honest." he said chuckling to himself before standing up. "wait, chenle are we good?" i asked nervously. "yeah, of course, we're cool. come on, let's go watch the movie." he smiled, offering me his hand as i happily accepted.

chenle's pov:
"that's because we're fake dating." yn said. right, chenle, you're only fake dating.

she doesn't like you anymore than that.
