Chapter 14: Comfort

It was dark. (Y/n) walked around, trying to see if they can find anyone. It looked to be empty.

"H-Hello?" (Y/n) echoed.

(Y/n) felt a sudden wet sensation at their feet. They looked down the see that water had started to rise up. They looked around to see if there was any place to hold onto but found none. The water kept rising higher and fast. (Y/n) was starting to panic.

"Help! Someone! Please help!" shouted (Y/n).

(Y/n) took one last breath before they submerging into the water.

 (Y/n) bolted up into a sitting position and gasped for air. Midnight burst into the room.

"(Y/n)! Are you okay? What's wrong?" asked Midnight.

"I-It was j-j-just a n-n-ightmare" (Y/n) said, shaky

Midnight slowly walked towards (Y/n). She began to wrap her arms around them.

"It's okay, I got you" assured Midnight.

She's really warm

(Y/n) only nodded.

"Do you want to talk about it?" whispered Midnight.

"It was really dark and empty. There was nothing. Then all of sudden there was water and I was consumed by it" explained (Y/n).

"Well, I can assure you that you are safe now. Do you know how to swim?" asked Midnight.

"N-No, my parents and I never went to the beach together or to a pool" said (Y/n).

"That's okay. I'm here and we can go when I'm free. That way I can teach you" suggested Midnight.

(Y/n) nodded. Midnight pulled away and sat in front of (Y/n).

"Do you want to tell me what happened in the classroom to cause you to have a break down?" asked Midnight.

(Y/n) nodded," I, I've been remembering my parents a lot lately and...not the good times. I know that it's all in the past but I've been remembering. I don't like it. I've been remembering the yelling and...the incident that happened between my parents...."

"Do you want to talk about that incident?" asked Midnight.

(Y/n) avoided her gaze," I don't think I'm ready, yet."

"Alright honey. Whenever you're ready, I'm here" smiled Midnight.

Why is she being so nice to me?

(Y/n) nodded. 

Midnight got up and walked towards the door," I'm going to make lunch for us. If you need anything don't be embarrassed to call me."

Midnight softly closed the door behind her. (Y/n) smiled.

(Y/n) looked around their room and their eyes landed on their bag.

I guess now would be a good time to study. Thanks to Midnight, I might be able to focus.

(Y/n) got out of bed and grabbed their bag. They got all of their notebooks and placed them on their desk.

There was a sudden knock on (Y/n)'s door. (Y/n) got up and opened the door to reveal Midnight.

Midnight smiled," Lunch is ready."

(Y/n) nodded and followed Midnight to the kitchen. As they got closer, (Y/n) could smell curry. (Y/n) sat down at the table and thanked Midnight and they dug in. Once they were done eating, (Y/n) grabbed both of their plates and started to wash them. There was loud knocking at the door. (Y/n) and Midnight both looked at each other. Midnight slowly walked towards the door and opened it. Standing at the door was Bakugo and Iida.

"(Y/n)! Two of your classmates are here!" called Midnight. 

"I'm coming!" (Y/n) called back.

"Good afternoon, Miss Midnight. I'm here to give-

"How about you two come in. We just got done from eating lunch" suggested Midnight.

"That won't be necessary. We just-

"Oh come on! It won't kill you" Midnight convinced.

She grabbed onto the boys and pulled them onto the living room.

"Hey! Let me go!" yelled Bakugo.

(Y/n) came into the living room while drying their hands. They saw Iida and Bakugo stiffen when they walked into the room. 

"You don't mind if I go to the store real quick, right (Y/n)? You're classmates are here and I'm sure you're okay with them, right?" asked Midnight.

(Y/n) nodded," Yes, I'll be okay."

With that Midnight put on her shoes and walked out. It became very quiet. (Y/n) moved to the couch that was opposite from the boys.

"So, what brings you guys here?" asked (Y/n).

"R-Right! We came here to bring you the notes that you missed today. Mr. Aizawa told Yaoyorozu to write them for you" stated Iida, handing (Y/n) the notes.

(Y/n) smiled at the him," Thank you so much for bring them. I would also like to apologize for my outburst back at the school. You guys aren't hurt, right?"

"Like a little gust of wind could hurt me!" scoffed Bakugo.

"I'm glad" smiled (Y/n).

"We should be the ones apologizing, (Y/n). The cause of our actions prevented you from staying in class" Iida claimed.

(Y/n) shook their head," I didn't realize how stress out I was and I lashed out on you both, so I'm sorry."

Iida sighed in defeat and Bakugo tched.

"Is there anything I can do?" asked Iida.

"Um, no. I don't think that's necessary" giggled (Y/n).

Iida sighed, again.

"Well, I think that we should get going. We don't want to overstay" said Iida.

Bakugo and Iida went towards the door and (Y/n) walked them out. They both stepped outside.

"I'm glad that you both came to visit, even if it was for a bit'" smiled (Y/n).

Both the boys blushed a bit.

"I-I-I'm glad to know that you're doing alright" stuttered Iida.

"Kacchan! Iida!"

The three of them turned towards the voice to see Midoriya.

"Huh?! Deku?! What the hell are you doing here?!" exclaimed bakugo.

"I-I live a couple of doors d-down" informed Midoriya.

Midoryia looked to see (Y/n) and his eyes lit up.

"(Y/n)! Why weren't you in class today?" asked Midoriya.

(Y/n) stiffened, which didn't go unnoticed by the three boys.

"I wasn't feeling too good this morning so I left" said (Y/n), nervously.

"Well, I hope you get better. If you need help with anything you can ask me" advised Midoriya.

(Y/n) smiled in his direction," Thank you, Midoriya. I'll see you tomorrow morning so we can walk together."

Midoriya became a blushing mess," O-o-of c-c-c-course."

Bakugo and Iida turned towards Midoriya and glared. Midoriya didn't miss their glares and decided to go into his apartment.

"I'll see you both tomorrow. Again, it was good seeing you two" bid (Y/n).

"You too, (Y/n). Stay safe" said Iida.

(Y/n) nodded and softly closed the door.
