RYLEE'S POV
My mom told me soon after finding out herself that I had a 'condition'. I mean excuse me for having a friend that shared the same body.
I never knew I was changing until about a year later though. That is when Ronni started talking to me when I was Rylee but when she took over I could see everything that was going on. I just couldn't control it.
Ronni told me she always knew about us. Even when I didn't. she told me she stood up for us when people looked at us like we were a messed up child.
I was the more quiet, shy one. She was incredibly violent at times. I remember when we we're 16 a girl in the local cafe called us a freak. It was and is a small town-my mom thought it would be better for us to move to where there'd needs people so we moved from New York City to a small town in Oklahoma- everyone there knew about us.
We walked in the café. I was me. I asked for a hot chocolate and took a seat at a table next to a give group of teenagers. I did it purposely hoping one would be nice enough to invite me to sit with them. I longed for friends. Ones I could talk to face to face. I heard them whispering and snickering and saw them looking my way. I tried to let it go but Ronni had other ideas. She took over.
One girl in specific the one with long, clearly died hair and too much make up on he face kept staring the look of disgust on her face not even looking away for a second.
"Do you have a fucking staring problem?" Ronni asked her voice loud, almost yelling, earning attention from the entire table of teenagers, a nearby old couple and a fairly attractive teen not at the counter.
The girl blinked at Ronni a smirk turning up on her face as she kept staring.
Ronni slammed her hands on the table using them to boost herself up. She walked towards their table, her red pumps clicking as she walked across the granite, tile floor. She crossed her arms, looking down at the blonde girl that she later told me was a stupid bitch who deserved more than she got.
"What. Are you looking at?" She asked you could hear as well as I could feel how pissed she was.
"A freak." She girl said simply her smirk never leaving her lips.
Ronni clenched her hands to fists pulling one back a nailing that girl right in her nose.
After that we weren't aloud to go anywhere without my mom or the only other girl willing to stick around and be my friend.
Amaiah. I met her the day Ronni punched sierra (The blonde bitch)
She was sitting at the table with her boyfriend, sierra an the others. She was only there for her boyfriend. She pulled Ronni off of sierra in the middle of their fight and calmed her down. She then told sierra off and left with Ronni.
She gets along with the both of us which of course is the only way we could have become friends.
She practically lives with me. Her mom is always too messed up to even notice she's gone 90% of the time. She's a drug addict and alcoholic. Always smoking weed. Always drunk. Always faded.
Ronni has joined her a couple of times but I on the other hand haven't. I'm not into that but when Ronni's in control there isn't much I can do now is there.
Now you know Ronni and I. Basically.
Ronni's POV
I get up from the couch as the doorbell rings the third time.
I guess since Rylee told you everything then I don't have to explain nothing right? Good.
I open the door revealing an excited Amaiah behind it.
"Hey Ronni!" She squeals pulling me in for a hug. I still have no idea how she can tell Rylee and I apart. She stopped asking only 3 months after knowing us. Rylee's mom has known us 18 years and still asks if we're Rylee or Ronni. She hates me because apparently I'm not her daughter. Only Rylee.
I hug back pulling away only 2 seconds later. "Why are you so happy?" I ask a smile tugging at my lips just from her excitement.
"You know Chris? From my school?" She asks calming herself down a bit.
"The 'insanely' cute guy from biology? The one you are always talking about." I ask putting air quotes around insanely cute since I've never seen the guy.
"Well...he asked me out." She says her smile going from simple back to big.
"Oh my God that's great!"I say not really sharing her excitement but, I put on a smile. I am happy for her but I can't really feel what she feels. I'm not her. You get what I'm saying?"
Rylee's POV
"Amaiah I'm so happy for you!!" I squeal once I realize I'm in control.
She doesn't say anything but she gives me a smile as she looks down at get phone. I can tell she's texting someone but I don't ask who.
When she's finished she stuffs get phone in her pocket before looking back up at me.
"Can you and Ronni help me get ready? Its on Friday." she asks still as excited as before. "Yeah sure." I answer giving a small smile.
"Okay thanks. Oh my gosh I'm so nervous." She tells me.
"I would be too." I say not knowing what else to say.
"I'm tired Amaiah. Stay up however long you want. I'm going to bed." I say getting up and walking towards the stairs.
"do we have to go to bed?"
"Yes. In tired."
"I'm not. Let's go out. Maybe to Amaiah's moms house or something."
"Not tonight. just let me sleep." I tell her as I lay down already into my pajamas.
