Chapter 10

Stryker and I were looking through book on werewolves trying to find out about Noah and why he has a connection to me. I hadn’t found anything yet.

 “Sky I think I found something” Stryker said

“Then read it out you idiot” I said jokingly

“Okay, ‘All Luna’s are assigned a protector at birth; like a mate the Moon Goddess assigns the protector and the Protector is made for the Luna. Although the Protector and assigned Luna may never actually meet, it is rare for a Protector to meet their assigned Luna…” Stryker says.

“YAY! Noah is my protector!” I say and jump up and start doing a happy dance,

“You weren’t that happy when you found out I was your mate.” Stryker grumbled and I laughed. I stopped dancing his face lit up probably thinking I was going to say something to him.

“I HAVE TO TELL NOAH!” I yelled and ran out of the room.

Noah! Noah! Noah! Noah!  I said through the link

Yes Skylar? He replied tiredly

Meet me at the door of the pack house NOW!

Yes Luna. he replied before dropping the link. I skipped down to the front of the house and waited for Noah.

Noah opened the door and looked around for me. His eyes still hadn’t landed on me when I jumped on his back. He lost his balance and fell on the floor. I began to laugh when Stryker came down the stairs. He looked at me like I’d grown two heads. I poked my tongue out and he shook his head in amusement.

“So Skylar is there a reason why I was jumped?” Noah asked his voice laced with amusement. I quickly jumped up.

“I HAVE NEWS!” I yelled excited and Noah stood up and looked at me expectantly.

“YOU. ARE. MY. PROTECTOR.” I said each word slowly and his face lit up. I jumped into his arms and he wraps his arms around me and begins spinning around,

“Put my mate down please, Noah.” Stryker said interrupting our moment. Noah put me down gently and I turned to look at Stryker and he looked like he was straining himself. I cocked my head to the side and he shook his head. I walked away from Noah and towards Stryker and placed a hand on his chest. Before I could do anything he wrapped his arms around my waist and swung me onto his back. My arms were around his neck and he was giving me a piggyback ride. I giggled and I could feel Stryker’s happiness and that made me smile more. I looked to Noah to see him smiling at Stryker and I.

“What you smiling at Noah?” I asked and smiled as well

 “Nothing,” He said still smiling

“Oi mate is that ‘thing’ arriving today?” Stryker said hoisting me up on his back further

“Yeah I’m fairly sure it is. Around lunch time i believe"

“Awesome, thanks Noah” Stryker said and began to walk away.

“WAIT!” I yelled and slid down Stryker’s back and ran to Noah. I jumped up and he wrapped his arms around me.

“Bye Noah.” I said and he let me go. I turned back to face Stryker.

“Now what is this thing?” I said and walked towards him and me smiled widely at me

“All in good time Sky.” He says smirking

“I hate that answer.” I grumbled and walked off.

“SKYLAR WAIT!” I heard Stryker yell and I stopped partly because my wolf wanted me too because of the desperation in his voice. I half turned and looked at him.

“You called?” I said and before I knew it he scooped me up into his arms. I squealed as he walked back into the living room and dropped me on the couch. I laughed and he looked at me.

“I have a present for you.” He said staring into my eyes

“And this present would be?” I replied and he smirked

“Me!” he yelled excitedly

“Damn it I thought it was going to be something good” I said trying to fight back a smile but failing as his face transformed into a pout.

“Joking… maybe.” I said and stood up and there was a knock at the door, I took a single step towards the door and Stryker growled and pulled me back.

“WHAT THE HELL?!’ I yelled at him

“Shut it Skylar.” He growled back and walked towards the door cautiously. He then wrenched the door open to find Zane standing there. As soon as I saw who it was I rolled my eyes and pushed past my overly cautious mate and hugged my brother.

“Hey Sky,” He said and I smiled.

“Hey Zane, haven’t seen you in a bit.” I moved back from the hug, actually it was more like my stupid, overprotective mate pulled me back. Zane chuckled at Stryker while I rolled my eyes, protective bastard.

“Yeah well, your mate here has been keeping you under lock and key.” Zane said and once again I rolled my eyes

“Yeah, it’s annoying.” I said and Stryker nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck and rubbed his nose against my mark.

“Anyway, anything you wanted my dear baby brother?”

“It was three minutes Sky, three minutes,” he murmured

“Still means you’re younger.” I taunted

He rolled his eyes at me and Stryker chuckled.

“Anyway I wanted to take you out next week.” He said looking at me like something was supposed to click.

“What for?” I asked

“Our Birthday, what else?” He said in a ‘duh’ voice.

“Oh shit, I forgot!” I yelled and Zane laughed at me. 

“Nah, I had no idea.” He said sarcastically and I let out a low growl. His eyes widened and he took a step back. Stryker seemed to find my defensive growl pride worthy because he squeezed my waist and kissed my shoulder.

 Zane looked at me as if I was a weird creature with multiple heads, hang on, that’s called a Hydra.

"Where did that come from Sky?” Zane queried.

 “Uh, my throat I think” I answered sweetly and he chuckled,

 “Anyway I will be going and I’ll talk to you later about our birthday Twin” Zane turns his back and walks back into the forest surrounding Stryker’s pack house.

"I will forgive you for neglecting to mention when your birthday is as it looks like you were just as confused as I was" Stryker mumbled into my ear and I pushed my elbow back into his ribcage. He let go of me and groaned in pain as I skipped inside. 

"That wasn’t nice Skylar" He said as he walked inside with a look of anger mixed with amusement on his face

"Nobody said I was nice" I poked my tongue out at him and sat down cross legged on the floor in front on the television and turned it on.

Hello, long time no read. 

As basically none of you know except for one, is that I pretty much gave up on this story for a bit, actually i'm still a little hesitant to continue, But I do not do things by half so I will continue and finish.  

I am really sorry it took so long. I really am and it's currently 12:17 am here is Australia and I should be asleep and..... i'm not sure where i am going with this... but yeah
