Hello. Before we begin the story, I would like to make sure we all know that this story is set in a fictional county somewhere in Southern England. With that being said, I would also be using UK's educational term throughout the story. Since school plays a big role in this story, here are some things I want you to know about the UK schools:
1. Instead of 'grade', UK uses the word 'year'
Year 2 in uk primary schools is first grade in US elementary schools, and so on.
2. There is no junior high in The UK
Instead it starts with primary (year 1 - 6), then secondary (year 7 - 11), sixth-forms (year 12 - 13) or college, and finally uni or university.
3. The final exams in secondary school is called GCSE
Stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education.
4. The types of schools are a little bit confusing, honestly
Private school = Private school.
Public school = Also private school. Meaning we have to pay for it, meaning it's not under the government.
State school = government's school, free. The protagonists in this story go to this type of school.

That is all for now. I myself isn't from the UK so if I got any of these wrong and you are from the UK or know about UK's things, I'd be delighted if you would kindly inform me :) and if I missed anything, I might add it later.
Last, I hope this story would cheer up your day. Especially now that we're in quarantine, I hope you can escape from reality for a moment by reading Back in Time. Thank you and enjoy.
