Love for Allah's sake

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade.

(Al-Bukhari, Malik)

This hadith e qudsi also provides basis for the following hadith e Nabwi (S.AW):

"If anyone loves for Allah's sake, hates for Allah's sake, gives for Allah's sake and withholds for Allah's sake, he will have perfect faith."

(Sunan Abu Dawud)

It is also generally noted that those who love eachother purely for Allah's sake, including couples, and do not transgress Allah's limits, their love is everlasting and becomes stronger everyday because they talk to the same Allah about eachother and Allah bonds their hearts together. Whereas those who follow haraam steps made by Shaytaan, loving only proves to give them heartache and destroys them. Even if haraam love lasts long, it is not acceptable by Allah so we should always be halaal and have fear of Allah in every step we take.

We should love for Allah's sake. That is the strongest form of love.
