Chapter I- Confusion

Beads of sweat was draping in my temples.

Scent of blood seeped through my nose.

A hint of heavy breathing can be felt in the cold night air.

I was running. Running so fast, as if someone was chasing me. I'm in the woods, so strange and beautiful. I felt nothing but fear and a little excitement. Is someone hunting me? I could hear someone laughing so loud. "D-dont come near me!"

I woke up in a white room. Where am I? There were tubes attached to my face and I saw someone on a couch, sleeping. He is such an attractive person, but I don't know him.

I tried to get up, when a middle age woman entered the room.

" Alec? Alec! You're awake! Shawn! Wake up! Alec is awake!" the woman suddenly screamed. I was so confused. Who are these people?

The guy on the couch, could be Shawn, woke up and looked at me and  lunge at me. He hugged me lightly and kissed my hand.

"Baby, I'm so glad you're awake! Im so relieved!"

I'm still confused. I don't know this people and they're here in this room, teary eyed. What in the world is happening.

I tried to muster a sound but I can't.

"Shawn, get the doctor for me." The woman said and the guy called Shawn, immediately went to the speaker near my bed and announced my awakening.

The woman cried and told me she was glad I'm awake. I stared at her blankly.

What am I even doing here?

I felt so exhausted by this sudden events of me being in a room with these strangers.

Am I in a hospital?

Then a man with this two nurses, I suppose, entered the room. The man asked, "Alec, do you remember why you're in here?"

"W-water, need water." I mustered out what I can say. My throat feels a little dry.

Then the woman from before gave me a cup of water aand I chugged it down  empty.

The man, which I think is a doctor, asked me again, "Alec, do you remember why you're here?"

"N-no. I, I don't know." talking feels very awkward.

He asked me a lot of questions and mostly I answered, "I don't know."

"She has amnesia. It could be permanent or temporary, we just have to wait on that. She must process things slowly. Let her remeber things in here own way. She can't be overwhelmed." The doctor said to the woman.

The woman again cried and faced me. She held my hand. "Honey, I am your mother." she said.

This is too much. I don't understand the situation I’m in, or how I landed in here. I'm tired already.

My mind feels blank.

"Baby, this is me, Shawn." the guy said.

"I'm sorry but I can't recognize you." was all I said.

"You must give her some time to rest. This could be confusing her right now but she'll get used to it." the doctor then started another checking.

I felt really tired and weary.

"Who am I?" I ask the woman who claims to be my mother.

"Honey you are Alec Lother. You have an accident that's why you end up in here." she replied softly. She sat down in this chair near me.

"How long was I asleep?"

"It's been 3 months now."

That long?

"I want to sleep." I said. My mind feels very fuzzy yet empty. I can't even remember what I looked like or what my character is.

I feel like a piece of me was lost. I can't remember. This is confusing for me.

I hope I can sort this one out.

I feel asleep again.
