Ethan parked the car and we both got out. The building where the meeting was to be held was the same pack meetings were held in, but we had never had to go to the top floor where there were rooms in which the Alpha met with his pack members when needed.

The building itself was an impressive and admittedly intimidating large structure, painted in a pearl white and looking a bit like it had been transported straight from Ancient Greece with all the tall pillars.

We went through the front door, smiling at the receptionist who was speaking on the phone with someone and waved us through to the elevators even though we had been headed there anyway. Ethan gripped my hand tightly as we made it onto the elevator, the quick ride doing nothing to help the queasy feeling in my stomach.

He held me back as the doors opened by his grip on my hand, leaning in to press a deep kiss to the side of my head. I forced myself to smile at him and he sighed lightly as he pulled away.

"It's going to be just fine, stop worrying Theen." Ethan said.

I tried to be reassured by his words but I knew neither of us could guarantee anything. Perhaps we had made a mistake deciding to get married now, we could have waited a few more years.

I wanted to pull Ethan back but it was too late now, we already had a meeting scheduled and if the Alpha was here before us, then he would have already caught our scent and would know we were here. If he wasn't here yet, then when he arrived he would be able to tell from our lingering scents that we had indeed come and then left before meeting with him, which would probably be seen as disrespect.

We found room 319 near the end of the hall straight down from the elevator. No one seemed to be inside though.

"Should we go in and wait?" I asked, glancing at my watch to see we had arrived ten minutes before we were supposed to. It was only polite though to get there ahead of time so there was no chance of making Alphas wait for you, considering how busy they were.

"Let's just wait here, I don't know if that'll be offensive." Ethan said and I nodded in agreement.

We leaned against the wall in wait, Ethan looking as though he wanted to say something but couldn't considering there were wolves in the building and they had such good hearing, that they would hear everything we said. I was secretly glad he couldn't speak, it gave me the chance to try to get my heartbeat under control.

The elevator doors opened and all my efforts went to waste as I caught sight of Alpha Russel. He was a tall man, taller than Ethan who was 6' by at least a couple inches, and had much more muscle to him. He had broad shoulders and a confident, imposing walk that made him look even bigger, so much so that I was surprised he got out of the elevator doors with ease.

Alpha Russel had caramel coloured hair with just a few streaks of grey in it, aqua coloured eyes and a strong jaw. As a student I had worked part time at a library and the head librarian had arguably been in love with the Alpha, she had practically melted into a puddle with glasses when he had come in with his two children.

He flashed us his white teeth in a smile as he walked towards us. Although logically I knew their fangs only came out when they were switched to their wolf form, his teeth looked to be much sharper than a regular human's to me.

"Alpha Russel." We both greeted simultaneously, bowing our heads down with our necks bared in submission.

"Mr.Kim, Ms.Clarke." The Alpha greeted back allowing us to straighten up out of our uncomfortable bows.

Ethan held the door open and the Alpha went through first. I followed him in, widening my eyes at Ethan as I went through, feeling him follow close behind me.
