"So, is there anything else I can do to make it up?"
"You could-"
"Cameron! Shut up!" I turn to her after punching Cam in the arm.
"There's nothing else, you're good. Just come with us." I say with a happy smile, and after we begin to walk and she looms away, I give Cam a death-glare."What?" he looks at me, saying to me quietly. I ignore him for a moment and finish the video clip we made, putting our camera in its case in my backpack. As we continue to walk, Kana turns to face me.
"So, where are we going now?"
"Right now? Uhm, I guess we're just exploring the city until dinner." I say simply, shrugging my shoulders.
"Really? Awesome!!! I was going to do that anyway! I just moved here, and that's why I looked completely lost." Cameron and her laugh, smiling at each other.
Why does it infuriate me so much to see them getting along?!?!?!
"Well, where do you want to go first?" I hear him ask her, nonchalontly slipping his arm around her shoulders, her not even paying attention to it. She didn't even notice.
"Well, I heard that there was a really pretty public garden with a fountain, and the mall was huge. I'd kind of just like to see how the place works, and try to find things I'm interested in."
"Okay, we can go to the mall now, and maybe after dinner we can go to the garden, if you want?"
"You know, because you only agreed to stay through dinner." Cameron finishes my thought.
"Of course, I would love to!!! That's so sweet of you guys!!!" she says, grabbing ahold of my hand as we reach one of the entrances to the mall. She pulls us in, Cameron's hand slipping down to her other free hand as we begin walking in the main hall of the first floor of the mall.
*Four and a half hours later*
"Wow... this mall is sooooo big..." Kana says as we exit the mall, one hand holding a smoothie from Orange Julius, the other holding a small bag with a few articles of clothing inside it. The sky is turning beautiful shades of the spectrum of colors, from Red to green, to pinks and purples, yellows and oranges, blues and twilights.
"Thank you guys so, so much for taking me out with you to look around the mall, even though we didn't go anywhere else."
"Thank you for coming with us." I say, winking at her and giving her a flirty smile before Cameron has the chance to do anything. She blushes and smiles at the ground, taking another sip of her smoothie. I take a drink of my own as we exit the parking lot and head back to main street.
"On to Nash's food!!!" Cameron shouts and pumps his fist in the air, making us laugh as we continue to have a good time around each other, walking to my house.
*One hour later- around 6:30 or so*
"Hey mom, we're here!!!"
"And we brought a friend home for dinner, is that okay?" Cameron yells, facing down the hallway.
"Haha, of course!" my mother says, laughing at Cameron, who whips around and almost falls over. We all join her in laughter, as Kana follows my mother and I into the kitchen. Cameron follows her in.
"So, are you going to introduce me, Ha-"
I clear my throat quickly to interrupt my mother from saying my real first name.
"Oh, Nash. I'm sorry. I forget sometimes that you don't like your first name."
"You don't like your first name?" Kana asks innocently, looking at me like a lost puppy.
