"Eh, Takashi-kun?"
"Hmm?"
"You won't ever leave me, will you?"
"No."
"You promise?"
"Yes."
————————————————————————
"Hey Takashi! What do you think of Haruhi-Chan's new look?" Takashi doesn't remember spacing out, but whatever reality he had stepped into for a short while had been interrupted by the voice of his cousin.
He took a look at Haruhi and nodded approvingly, his silence long since excepted by the people around him.
Other than the new addition in a host. The club activities went like usual, with all the usual guests and antics. He and Honey sharing a small table with a group of girls who seems particularly fond of pinching his cousin's cheeks. Each of them singing out praises and compliments for Honey. Some of them also trying to talk with Takashi himself, unbothered by the minimal response, if any.
Unlike usual though, was the feeling resting in Takashi's gut. For some reason he just couldn't seem to clear his mind. His thoughts drifting back to a certain {eye color} eyed male.
He doesn't know why this suddenly came to his head, or why he was overcome with a nostalgic feeling, all he knew was that it felt uncomfortable.
————————————————————————-
The feeling followed him the entire day, never once leaving his mind. And it was only during lunch that he figured out why.
Honey and a few of the other hosts had decided they wanted lunch from the cafeteria today. And as they walked to the large room they made fun conversation, with the twins poking fun at Tamaki, and occasionally each other. He enjoyed listening to them. He really did. But that off feeling prevented him from smiling.
When the walked through the doors a delicious aroma surrounded them. The gourmet food looked delectable as always, as expected from some of the best chefs in Japan. but the sweet smell of the food was easily turned bitter with conversations drowning the tables.
"Did you hear?" The person sounded vaguely like they were trying to whisper, only failing horribly at it.
The student across from him seemed to hold the same problem, as his response was easily at hearing level.
"Did I hear what?"
"Apparently, {y/n}'s only rich because his mother sleeps with the directors of the films she stars in."
"Really? Oh wow, what a whore."
The name they spoke struck a chord within Takashi at its familiarity. The sentence following the name only processing a few seconds after it's end.
He couldn't help but here many other similar conversations happening across the room, and he found himself searching for familiar {h/c} colored hair.
As his eyes scanned the room he found the suspect of his search walking out of the cafeteria, head tucked downward.
Takashi questioned what he could do, but his planning was once again interrupted, this time by none other than Haruhi.
"Oh.. are you ok Mori-senpai? You look a little distraught." He could hear the concern in her voice and thought about the question for a second, before smoothly responding.
"I'm fine."
