Sahir, Shonali, and Karan were seated on the dining table eating brunch in silence but in a very awkward atmosphere. Sahir who couldn't tear Karan apart and into pieces just as he wanted to, was giving the said treatment to the omelet on his plate. Karan, who knew how his best friend's mind worked and what exactly was going in his mind, visibly shuddered when Sahir cut another bite-size piece of the omelet using more force than required, then stabbed it hard using the fork before putting the morsel inside his mouth.
Karan was not oblivious to the fact that Sahir wanted to kill him by cutting him into pieces and then feed them to wild animals. On the other hand, oblivious to the tension between Sahir and Karan, Shonali was playing with her food. She was feeling exhausted both physically and mentally. Karan's revelations, his confession evoked contradictory emotions inside her. She was happy to hear that Karan actually loved her but was extremely sad as well because to realize that love Karan took so much time and his reason behind establishing a relationship with her was selfish, unacceptable, and just so wrong.
Shonali rested her head in her hands and began to rub her temples, trying to massage away the headache that was developing beneath her temples. Not able to bear the silent torture after all the drama, Shonali pushed back her chair and stood up.
"I am done." she said and was about to walk away but Karan stopped her.
"Mitthu," Shonali glared at Karan for calling her by that particular nickname, "Shonali," he corrected, "Can I meet Kuhu, please?" he asked.
Shonali sighed and told him, "Dad has gone to pick her up from Maya's place and will take her for a day out as tomorrow she will be getting admitted in the hospital. You can meet her tomorrow." she informed.
"And you didn't tell where were you all these years? Even with all of our resources, we couldn't find you." asked Sahir making Shonali chuckle.
She walked over to where Sahir was seated and ruffled his hair, "I was staying at Eire Danu."
Sahir and Karan looked annoyed, their expressions made Shonali laugh, "You are telling me that you were staying at your private island." said Sahir.
"Yep. Dad knew why I wanted to leave and we both knew that you both will try to look for me but I didn't want to be found. So, Dad told you all that I wasn't at either of the properties that we own, and both of you continued to look elsewhere. Because you didn't know that it was Dad who helped me escape and that he didn't want me to be found, you guys trusted his word and never even once you checked my family's personal properties." Shonali ended that with a clap and a wide grin on her face while Karan and Sahir looked extremely miffed and felt stupid.

Jhanvi and Kuhu were sitting on the floor and playing with Sky when the doorbell rang. "I think your grandfather is here." Jhanvi said and went to open the door. She checked through the peephole once to make sure that it wasn't Ashwin at the door before opening it.
"Hello." she greeted the man in front of her. Maya had told her that Kuhu's grandfather would be coming to pick her up.
The smile that Samrat Ganguly had on his face turned into a frown as he found the woman in front of him very familiar. "Uh, hello. I am Kuhu's grandfather, Samrat Ganguly. Nice to meet you and thank you so much for taking care of Kuhu."
