Y/n's P.O.V

"Mom!" I pulled away. "How? What? What's happening?" I asked. My mom smiled at me and wiped my tears.

"Your memory of us brought me here." She told me with her sweet, soft voice.

"I miss you, mom. So much. I'm sorry about what happened. I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I'm really sorry." I cried.

"Shh." My mom shushed stroking my hair. "It's not your fault, sweetie. It's no one's fault okay? Remember that." I nodded. "So, tell me about this Ban."

"How do you know him?" I asked.

"I've been watching you."

"Mom, don't say that. That's creepy." We laughed.

"No, I can see what you're doing. I've been watching you fight, smile, laugh, cry. You sure do cry a lot about Ban." She joked. "You really love him don't you."

"So much, Mom. I would die for him. Except I can't die." We laughed again. "But I'm not sure he'll do the same. He loves this girl named Elaine. But, she's dead."

"I saw what happened." She told me. "He loves you, Y/n. Believe me. You may think something else but I am telling you, I can feel his sincerity about you."

"But what if he finds out I'm not human? What if he finds out that I've been lying to him this whole time? He's going to hate me, Mom."

"He won't. Why do you keep saying mom every sentence?" She chuckled.

"Because, Mom. I don't get to call you that anymore so I'm taking advantage of the time we have, Mom." I cried. "I lost the ring you gave me. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Y/n." My mom hugged me. I hugged back. "But you have to tell Ban the truth. No matter how hard it is." I nodded.

"Mom, is it okay if you stay? I don't want to be apart from you again." I asked, hopeful and I wanted to change the subject.

"Y/n, you know I can't." She said.

"I know." I sighed. "I kind of want to find dad and maybe free him from imprisonment."

"Are you serious?" She pulled away. I nodded. "You don't hate him anymore?"

"I never hated him. Just strongly disliked." I smiled. "You told me to never hate because then darkness will just win. I don't want the darkness to consume me."

"Good, Y/n." She said. 

"I don't know where his prison is. Do you?"

"Not really." Shook her head. 

"Is it Shankshaw? Lodge Detention Center?" I kid. 

"I hope not." She chuckled. "But I know that you need a certain key and blood of a Goddes to free him."

"Damn. What kind of crime did that demon commit?" 

"Steal my heart." My mother said with heart eyes.

"Ew, mom." I fake gagged. "Also, he let you be captured. How do you still love him?"

"He only did what's best for us, Y/n." She brushed my hair. "Your father is a great man. No matter what he is or where he is, I will always love him." I looked over her shoulder to see Elizabeth and Hawk running towards our direction. "Looks like your friends are here."

"Mom, five more minutes." I tell her.

"I'm not your alarm clock, Y/n." She giggled. "I have to go." I hugged her. I could feel her slowly fading but I didn't let go.

"I love you, mom. So so so so so so much. Thank you for saving me." I tell her.

"I love you too, Y/n. So so so so so so much. I really love you. Say thank you to Meliodas for me. For taking care of you. I will always love you." I teared up.

"I wish you could meet him and Ban. You're going to love them. And don't go Whitney Houston on me." We laughed.

"My Love is your Love." She tells me.

"Don't be So Emotional on me now." We exchanged Whitney songs. "How will I know when I'm going to see you again?" I asked, still hugging her.

"You won't but Step by Step. Inhale. Exhale. Don't rush, just breathe. Live and don't do it all at once."

"Mom you're not making any sense." I tell her. "If this is a riddle, I can't do this or Try it All On My Own."

"I believe in you and me and when you Believe, you will find me. Don't let the darkness consume you but when it does, remember, Love will save the day."

"Okay, mom. Stop. I can't think of any Whitney songs." I chuckled. I still don't know what she means.

"I approve of Ban. You two have the Greatest Love of All. I love you, Y/n. Remember that." She said and then she was gone. I feel my arms hugging my body.

"Don't make me close one more door.
I don't want to hurt anymore.

"Y/n-sama?" I hear Elizabeth. I looked at her and wiped my tears. "You have a beautiful voice."

"Forget you heard anything." I tell her.

"But why? That song was amazing and your voice was perfect."

"I'm no Whitney but I guess." She looked confused. "Earth stuff. Anyways, just forget that happened okay?"

"But-"

"Drop it, Princess." I tell her. She shushed. "Now, where are the rest."

"Oh, they're being attacked by a Holy Knight and we can't find Ban or King." Hawk said. 

"Then what are we still doing here?" I flew up. "Lead the way, tiny ass piggy porky oinker." I tell him.

"You're being more mean than usual." He said. Elizabeth went on Hawk and they ran to the while I flew and followed them.
