The Journey

I stumble onto a dirt path. The first thing I notice is the air. It's so clean I almost choke.
The next thing I see is a horse-drawn carriage heading right my way. My instincts kick in and I jump to the side onto the fluffy green grass a moment before I get trampled.
"Child!" I hear someone call. "You are supposed to be at school!"
The next thing I know I'm being dragged into a red brick building with a flat roof. It seems worn-down and beaten. I remember my training to be obedient and speak like a "good 1850's girl", so I enter the building.
I see a very young, tired woman trying to teach too many people at once. She teaches a young child feverishly and moves on to an elder one. When she looks up at me, she only seems more fatigued.
"Um, miss," I managed to say. "I have a suggestion."
   "Make it quick," she snaps.
I explain y advice modeling it after the school system we have at home. She tries it, only seeing it for the joy of proving a puny child wrong, bt finds that it works quite efficiently. "Any other great ideas?" she asks.
I nod. This is my chance! "Yes, ma'am, I do!"

Claire Shin lives on through her life as a visionary and is remembered for her many inventions. She was a great advocate for environmental preservation and a child prodigy. In fact, some say she even changed the world!
