May 29 First day gone
Dear Diary,
Today I left. I can’t take it any more. All I do is get pushed around. This is my first entry in years. My name is Aleena. I have long chocolate brown hair. My eyes are dull grey. I have a mom, dad, and a little brother. My parents had divorced a few days ago. My mom is dragging me to a place in New York. I want to stay with my dad. He lives in California. I plan to go there. I am a 16-year-old girl. All I packed is my birthday money, a pillow, a blanket, my diary, a pencil a flashlight, and my phone. I always have the battery put just in case. I left a note for my parents. That is why a page is missing in here. Night has fallen in the forest I found. I am on the ground covered in the blanket. The flashlight is helping me write. Goodnight.

May 30 Second day gone
Dear Diary,
I have been walking for hours. My stomach yells at me for food. I came across a berry bush and only picked a few. They were raspberries. This trail is terrible. I have almost tripped three times already. I still remember school. I had no friends. Everyone thought I was an idiot. No one even believed my grades. I was at a B in every class. I was even in advanced classes. No boys liked me and I did not like them. I wonder what people are thinking right now. Do they miss me? Are they glad I am gone? What would happen if I went back? I have to keep walking.
