You yell your heart out, but it was too late. You would never forget the scene that played right in front of you. Yoonji was flung into the air and let me tell you.. the ground wasn't soft..at all. You rush to her.
"I-I'm s-sorry Y/n.."
"What are you talking about? I'm the one who's sorry. I was paranoid" You start crying
"I-I'm the one who overreacted." She reaches out and wipes your tears away.
You hold Yoonji's hand and squeeze it. "You're my first and the only friend please don't leave me!!"
"I-If I leave I'm still right here" she points to your heart. A tear drips down from her eyes. You suddenly realized something. You turn around
"CALL THE AMBULANCE DON'T JUST STAND THERE" You yell at the people recording you. They call the ambulance immediately.
The driver of the car finally came out. It seemed like he was on the phone and didn't see Yoonji crossing. He comes out.
"I'm so sorry are you, okay mam?" He stares at Yoonji in shock. "Yoonji?"
How did he know Yoonji's name? You look at him and he looks back you. It was Min Yoongi, Yoonji's brother!!
"Why didn't you look after her huh? This is why I don't let my sister out of the house!"
Suddenly ambulance sirens sound. "They're here!!" Luckily the hospital was near your shop so they were able to come quickly. You look back at Yoonji. She was smiling at you. "Remember me okay Y/N? You too Yoongles." You could feel her grip on your hand loosen and she slowly closed her eyes.
You wait outside the ER room. Pacing back and forth. Yoongi kept glaring at you and he finally spoke.
"You're making me dizzy. Sit down"
"Then don't look at me then"
"I don't even want to look at you, but you're walking right in front of me!"
"Oh.."
"Exactly so sit down"
You sit a few seats away from him scared. Who wouldn't be? The awkward silence was interrupted when the doctor came out. "Relatives of Min Yoonji?" Yoongi raises his hand "Alright then follow me"
You were able to pace around the room again. "Don't leave me Yoonji don't leave me." You kept muttering
"NO, SHE"S NOT DEAD!! YOU LIAR!!" you jump in shock. Seems like Yoongi was yelling at the doctor
"Listen to me, sir-"
"TELL ME SHE'S NOT DEAD" It got quiet for a moment.
The door opens revealing an angry Yoongi. He runs away out of sight. The doctor sighs. You rush to the doctor.
"Is she okay?" You asked calmly to not stress the doctor out
"She's not dead" you knew it. She wouldn't leave you
"Can I see her phone?"
"I'm sorry but who are you?"
"I'm her best friend"
The doctor walks into the room and came out with Yoonji's phone. "Here"
You decided to call Yoongi but remembered that Yoonji's parents didn't know about the accident yet. You go to her contact list and called her mom. It took a few calls for her mom to finally pick up. "Hello? Yoonji, I'm at work right now. Call me later" Her mom hangs up before you could say anything.
You try calling her dad. He picks up right away "Hello honey? May I help you with anything?"
"Mr. Min, it's me, Y/N."
"Oh hello dear. Would you like to come for dinner tonight? And why are you calling on Yooonji's phone?"
"I-I'm sorry, but Y-yoonji..."
"My daughter what?" he started to sound anxious
"S-she got in an accident. She's at the Seoul Medical Center"
The call ended right away. You call Yoongi this time.
"Yoonji you're alive?"
"No, it's me"
"Oh.. why do you have her phone."
"To tell your parents she's here since I don't have their numbers on my phone of course."
"May I have the phone for a second?" The doctor suddenly asks. You give it to him and he talks with Yoongi. Once he was done he gives the phone back to you. "Here you go, mam."
"Call me Y/N, please. Mam makes me uncomfortable."
The doctor chuckles "Okay Y/N. Nice to meet you I'm Dr. Kwon." You shake hands. Yoongi enters the room and goes to Dr. Kwon. "Sorry Doctor for yelling at you. I didn't even let you finish talking. So is Yoonji not dead?"
"Luckily not. She got flung into the air and hit her head very hard. She also has too much blood loss. Right now she'll be in a coma for 3 months. She could've been better if you reached out to the hospital sooner but you're lucky you did in time. Even a few more minutes she would have died."
