Chapter 5: Stolen

/Cafe/

You were sitting with Jungkook in the coffee shop. You had just ordered your drinks and was now having a chat.

"So why did you invite me here?" You finally manage to get it out of your head

"Oh, I finished practice and all of that so I came to..." He was thinking of something "say hi and look at paintings since you paint so good"

You knew it was a lie since he said it so awkwardly but you didn't care. Plus, you had no more paintings

"Um Y/N?"

"Yea?"

"The painting you made before the coffee shop one..where is it?"

"I sold it to Wendy"

"Who?"

"Blonde haired girl who works here and made we come."

"So you said the painting had you, Wendy, and who else?"

"My best friend Yoonji." 

"What's her brother's name?"

"Yoongi, why?"

"Ah no wonder why that name sounded familiar. She got in an accident right?"

Your face fell. "Yes, and it's my fault"  You then felt someone rest their hand on top of yours. The hand was warm and made you feel safe. You look up and see Jungkook staring at you.

"It's nobody's fault. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time"

"Lovebirds, your order is here. A Caramel Macchiato, and a hot chocolate." It was from Wendy.  

"Thanks, Wendy" you take back your hand and take a sip of your hot chocolate.

"No thank you for coming to the shop. I also hung your painting. See?" She points to the wall next to the entrance. How did you not see that?

"Best friends, when can I have my Macchiato?" Jungkook asks. Wendy was still holding the Caramel Macchiato. 

"Oh, I'm very sorry" Wendy finally places down the drink and looks at you. "I have to go continue work. See you!" She walks away.

You notice Jungkook was looking at your painting. (The one with you, Yoonji, and Wendy) "Yoongi told me that Yoonji passed away. But after looking at your paintings and that they have some power in them, I know that Yoongi is lying about Yoonji being dead. I've been analyzing your painting"

You chuckle. "It might've been a coincidence! Don't go too far, thinking my paintings are enchanted or something. I agree with you though. I know Yoonji is still alive. It's not Yoongi who is lying since somebody told him she wasn't alive." 

"Really who?"

"It was Yoonji's doctor who told me she passed away. So it must have been the doctor that told him." 

"So are you saying that the doctor is lying?"

"I think so-" somebody slammed their cup on the table. It was the person at the table next to yours. They were wearing a black hoodie, a black cap, black shoes, and black pants. As the ignorant person you are, you ignored them. 

 "I promise this is the last question" Jungkook starts again

"It better be"

He glares at you. "It is. Yoongi said that you had Yoonji's phone. Is it true?"

"Yes, but why are you asking so many questions?"

"I have to confirm something....can I not tell you...yet?"

"Okay, that's fine."

"But the phone..do you have it right now?"

"Hey, I thought it was the last question!"

He looks away from you "Never m-"

"No. It's in the office in my sho-" Jungkook cuts you off by placing his hand on your mouth. Once he takes it away you burst out saying  "What was that for?!"

He was looking away from you. Wait no....he was looking at the person in black. You decide to look at him too. The person in all black put money on the table then left.

"He was looking at you when I asked about the phone. That's why I said never mind. But you decided to keep talking and I swear I saw him starting to smile."

"A he?"

"Duh. The short hair and figure."

"I think Yoonji's phone is in danger. Hurry we need to stop him." Jungkook says while taking out his wallet. He places the money on the table. 

"Are you sure? Maybe-" Jungkook grabs your hand and takes you with him to your shop.

You walk inside your shop turning on the lights. The shop looks normal so far, just the office left to check. You turn on the light in your office. Everything looked normal. "See? I knew he didn't take any-"

"What's this?" Jungkook points to something on your desk. It was a sticky note that said

"No! If somebody takes the phone, they're gonna know the passcode to free my brother!"

"Why put a passcode in Yoonji's phone?" he didn't seem to hear the brother part

"I put it on mine and Yoonji's just in case we lose the phones or whatever."

"Wait how did you get the phone in the first place."

"Doctor gave it to me and told me to keep it for safety purposes so I ended up with the phone. Oh my god!!"

"Hm?"

There was a huge hole in the drawer where you kept Yoonji's phone. "This is supposed to be locked"

"Look's like somebody broke it. Well is the phone still in there?" 

You looked in the drawer and saw air.

"You'll never believe it" you sounded sarcastic

"Let me guess"

"No," You both say

So Jungkook knew that Yoonji wasn't dead because he was analyzing the painting and realized the meaning. I just wanted to clear that out. Thanks for reading
