I sat in my room and meditated for as long as I could and thought about what had happened this night. Being terrified was somewhat of an understatement describing my feelings. The constant thought went through my head that these creatures now wandered through this house. This made the threat of my life even worse. As the minutes went by, I constantly pondered on whether or not I should leave my room, or stay here until I heard my mother's car in the driveway.

Part of me knew that these creatures were the thoughts of Ava. They were the creatures she described to me and the ones she drew in pictures. I took every thought I could of what Ava said to me. But the only thing she told me was how dangerous they were and how they tried to kill her. They were hallucinations of course. But as I have a sound mind and know about spirits, I can clearly see that these things now had no reason to get Ava, and now they were onto the next victim.

Which also made me think. The hallucinations of these shadow beings that Ava saw might just have been real. Because I saw them clear as day. They whispered corrupt things into my ears, which might have been what they whispered into Ava's ears and affected her mind. Did Ava die of schizophrenia? Or was it them. I finally made up my mind to go outside the room again. I cracked the door open very slightly and looked down the hallway. I stared at my parent's door and watched to see if anything would move in the shadows. My true goal was to get to the bathroom without being attacked.

All the while though, my parent's door was the main thing grabbing my attention. It was still slightly opened as if something was staring at me behind the door and in the shadows. And if I were to shine my flashlight on the door, whatever was behind it would reveal itself. Before I left the room, I grabbed the jar of powder I rubbed on my arms and had it by my side. I kept the jar of salt with me to create barriers around the house. I also took with me a metal knife. The knife was made of a special type of metal, or so it was believed in a mythological belief. I finally found the strength to leave the room and cautiously headed towards the door. About six feet away I turned the flashlight on and shun it on the door to see what would be there. And there behind it.... was nothing. I sighed in relief quietly. I turned to look back at my room and saw behind my door ten feet away was the silhouette of the mannequin. Its body was contorted and its shoulders were up to its ears, while its arms were bent out in a position as if it were ready to pounce on something below it.

I shivered and gasped by its sudden appearance. The moment I flashed the light on the possessed figure, it moved quickly towards me. It jerked and twitched as it stomped across the floor. I frightfully scattered to grab the powder, but by the time I had grabbed hold of the lid, the mannequin took hold of my wrist causing me to panic even more and jump back. Because I had the powder on my wrist, the mannequin let go immediately and moved back too. I found the strength in me to charge at the object. It too relentlessly charged at me as our hands and arms collided pushing against each other.

The mannequin grabbed at my neck and arms each time gripping then releasing as if it were being burned and couldn't touch me. I took hold of its plastic wrist and it sounded like something inside the plastic figure screamed out. I forcefully pulled it in front of the stairs and then shoved it down. The plastic limbs fumbled and bumped against the wooden stairs as it collapsed.
