Lucy pov

My eyes flutter open as the morning suns rays found its way into my bedroom. I am still in the miniskirt and shirt I wore yesterday which is strange. I try to sit up but a pounding, searing pain starts in the back of my head. I touch my face and discover that my head is wrapped in bandages. That's when all the events of last night came flooding back.

So Natsu must be hear somewhere, I turn my head to the right but he isn't in my bedroom anywhere. I get up, clutching my head I walk out of my bedroom and into the living room where I see Natsu sprawled across the couch gently snoring. I giggle quietly and walk over to him. I kneel beside him and put my face just inches from his so that I can feel his warm breath on my cheek. Like this Natsu looked 16, a tall pink-haired boy with not a care in the world for rules, regulation or...love.I sigh and stay like this for a few minutes listening to the rhythm of his heart. He must have been awake for quite a while last night.

"I..love...you, "I hear him whisper in his sleep. The comment startles me and I get up and take a few steps back, it could be anyone but for some reason, my heart started beating really fast. That's when I did something that startled even me I stepped closer to him leaned in his ear and whispered"I love you to Natsu"I turn red and walk out of the room hoping he didn't hear that. He may not have been awake but I did it I confessed my feelings and for now, that's good enough.

I walk into the bathroom and am taken aback at my reflection. I look pale and dark circles engulf my eyes. My hair is ruffled from the dried blood and half of it is stained red, my forehead is covered in the bandage that wraps around to cover the wound at my back. The mascara and makeup I wore yesterday are smudged. I look down and the shirt I wore yesterday was covered in blood and dirt and so are my legs. I decide to get the portable lacrima(a/n its like a phone type thing) from my room and dial Wendys number, once she heals the wound I can wash up and make myself look less..dead.I hear the phone ringing then a shuffle as Wendy picks up.

"Hi, Lucy nee what's up, you okay?" asks Wendy cheerily.

"Yeah, I am cool I got a head injury last night from..."I pause what should I tell her I think for a moment then make up my mind" falling down the stairs, I um bandaged it up and it stopped bleeding but I wondered if you could just heal it up"I ask and wait a few seconds for a reply.

"Um okay I will be there as soon as I can!" she says but I can hear a hint of unease in her voice before I can ask if everything is ok she hangs up and I am left in the silence of my bathroom. I walk out and sit down on a chair opposite Natsu because I am feeling a bit dizzy, I stare out the window at the clear cloudless sky and the busy people of Magnolia bustling away as the morning hours go by. Then I hear shuffling and turn back to see Natsu waking up. He sits up and when he sees me his eyes are wide with relief.

"Lucy are you ok don't you need to lie down or-"

"Calm down Natsu I am totally fine, Wendys coming over to heal me and I just have a slight headache,"

Natsu doesn't look convinced but he gives in and sits up straight staring into space.

Natsu pov

Wendy came in to heal Lucy about an hour ago and Lucy is currently in the bathroom "freshening-up".I don't really know what that means but apparently it takes more than 5 minutes.

"I am doooooone"Lucy sings from the bathroom she walks out and I smile as I see the familiar Lucy wearing some blue shorts a cropped white t-shirt and her hair now cleaned and free of blood tied into a long side ponytail with her blue ribbon. She no longer looks pale and looks bright and fresh and the dark circles are gone from her eyes. She is wearing a big smile as she buckles her keys and whip belt around her waist. It's hard to see but for a split second, I see a crack...a crack in the mask Lucy is putting on a gap of worry sadness and depression, a gap Lucy isn't willing to show.

"Why are you staring at me like that Natsu ?"Lucy mumbles as she fiddled nervously with her shirt.

"Lucy are you OK?"I ask.Lucy looks surprised almost worried she pauses and then answers.

"O-of c-course I am alright Na-"she falls to the ground eyes filling with tears.She is shaking and sobbing uncontrollably. I cracked her mask open, I hacked away until there was nothing left other than a scared and worried girl.I walk over to her and kneel beside her.I put my hand on her back and gently tap it.

"Its not good to keep things in Lucy"I say

"I kn-now b-but h-he t-told me"she trys to say through loud sobs.

"Who said?"I ask her stroking her back gently.

"Zeref h-he spoke to me while I was unconscious he told me he was in-inside of m-me"she cried sobbing harder into her arm.

I know exactly what she is talking about ,should I tell her, everything?Thats when I see Lucy stop and stare at the wall.Her eyes widen with fear as the backs away from some invisible being.

"I AM SORRY!PLEASE DONT HURT ME!!!!!!!!!"Lucy screams her hands shielding her face.

I go in-front of her and put my hands on her shoulders.

"Lucy there is nothing there"I say calmly trying to stop her shaking.She look's right through me like I am not even there.Then she starts scratching her neck as she backs into a cabinet.Its-its like someone is strangling her.

"Lucy there is nothing there snap out of it!"trying to stop her arms.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!STOP IT PLEASE!"she yells.

Then as if by some unknown force she shoves herself hard into a wooden shelve making a glass vase come crashing down on Lucys head.

Dun dun dun cliffhanger lol!This was a long chapter so hope you guys appreciate it because this took a while.Also I kinda got inspiration from infinite warrior (one of my favorite authors she is on my follow list if you wanna check her out)to write an inspirational quote from some of my favorite animes at the end of each chapter so here goes!
