Chapter 57

Aira walked out of Doctora Santos' clinic. She had her check-up and got her clearance from her doctor that everything's well for her. She also asked about family planning and there were several options given to her. She just needed to give Eli, (pronounced Ih-lie) the best attention that she can provide. She was happily walking out of thecorridor about to look for Dex and Eli when a man walked beside her.

"Hey! Aira right?", Aira looked at Dex and smiled

"Yes?', her look confused

"There's a McDonald's on the next turn. Can I invite you for a cup of coffee?", he said as if he really didn't know her.

Getting into the act, Aira stopped. "Maybe if you add some fries I may go with you", she said with raised brows

"Are you new here? Never seen you here before", giving her the same grin that she saw and loved more than 5 years ago.

"Hmmm...must be because I'm really new here?", she said na natatawa na sa ginagawa nila

"You're perfect for me. Will you marry me?', said Dex, holding her hand

"I'm nursing my baby and have a husband whom I'm crazy about, so maybe I'll pass", then she spoiled the whole fun when she laughed. "You're crazy!", tapping Dex arm

"Crazy for you", Dex said, hugging her as they laughed. "Eto naman, hindi marunong umarte!", he said in jest

Aira just shake her head. "After all this time, you're still crazy. Where's Irene and Eli", she said looking around for them

"Ayun, pinaupo ko muna. Tara Mahal", and they fetch Irene and Eli.

"So bait my baby", taking from Irene the sleeping baby

"Where to"", Dex asked as they went down the parking lot

"Maybe we can go to the mall? Irene have errands", Aira said. She and Irene were planning to make cupcakes.

In the mall, Irene did the grocery on her own as Aira and Dex sat in the opposite diner. Eli was crying, sticking out his tongue.

Aira put on her protective cover as she nursed Eli while Dex kept a protective eye on his son and wife.

"Do you have a meeting with Nick later?", Aira asked. glancing at Dex

"Yup. Just routine Mahal. Deliverables are on point".

"It's a good one yes?".

"Better Mahal", Dex said. "I checked my account and I got the payments already. Kahit si Alvin, happy. Sabi ko nga magpa-ice cream naman sya", Dex said. He took a risk in that outsourcing venture and for now it's a good source of income.

Aira nodded glancing at him then she noticed a beautiful woman coming their way, "Babe", she prodded thru her eyes for Dex to look in the same direction. He glanced at the woman and followed her with his eyes.

"She's beautiful, right?", she said straight faced.

Napatingin ng paismid si Dex kay Aira. "feeling ko patibong to eh. Ikaw Mahal ha, wag ganun", tapping her nose.

Aira grinned. Then her eyes widened.

Not looking this time, Dex said "maganda na naman?", he asked Aira

"No. It's Kuya Allan", she said craning her neck

Lumingon si Dex and saw Allan and Mark. Nakasimangot si Mark. Hindi pa sila nakikita.

Dex stood up and waved at them.

Allan and Mark approached them. "Uy, andito rin pala kayo", Allan said, waving at Aira.
