September 16th 1984

I've been tossing and turning for hours now, I don't know if it's from the excitement of tomorrow or from the heat of the hot L.A. summer but I just can't seem to sleep.

I walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water when I hear a loud crash coming from Brooke's room followed by a scream. I run into her room, forgetting about my glass of water and instead carrying a large butchers knife that I stole from the knife stand.

I open the door, the knife ready to protect me and Brooke. I scream as I notice a man with long dark hair standing above Brooke with a knife also in his left hand. He charged towards me, his hair in his face, but before I could use knife to defend myself, Brooke grabbed a china plate from one of her many shelves and smashed it over the intruders head. He groaned on the floor but grabbed his knife and slashed at my ankles.

I groaned in pain as I checked to see if it was bad. It wasn't deep but it was bleeding all over out cream carpet.

Brooke continued to kick the man as he stood up, watching as he ran out of the window, back through the way he came. Limping, I ran after him but he made it out of the window and disappeared into the night.

Brooke started to sob quietly as I stood watching out the window.

"Who was that Brookie..?" I asked in a whisper.

"I think it was the night stalker!"She said with a loud sob. "But i'm not sure i couldn't get a good look at him cause of his stupid long hair!"

I groaned in agreement, if we can't identify this man, how will we keep ourselves safe?

After we both calmed down, I grabbed the phone on the wall and dialled Montana.

"Ugh who is it and what do you want!" Montana snapped with a yawn on the other side of the phone.

"Hey uhh, it's (Y/N). Could me and Brooke come over? Something sorta happened..."

The other end of the phone was silent until Montana spoke up.

"Uh yeah sure, I don't see why not? Is everything okay?" She said with a worried tone.

"It is now, but it's a long story. We'll explain when we get there." And with that I hung up.

The drive there was silent. But not a good one. The sort of silence where we were both too shaken up to even speak. I decided to drive to give Brooke a rest, she was pretty traumatised. We pulled up and knocked on her door, the smell of weed hitting our faces instantly and the sound of all the boys.

"You sounded really frightened on the phone, so I called all the boys and made them rush over." Montana said with serious voice as she welcomed us in.

As we walked in the boys gave us all a wave and a smile. After explaining to everyone what happened, they all gave me and Brooke wide eyes and gaping mouths.

"Oh shit.." Ray mumbled " That sounds scary."

"Hehe yeah, but thanks to Brooke we managed to get him to leave and we escaped." I said with a nervous laugh.

I could see Xavier looking at me through the corner of my eye, confused I stared back.

"Your ankle." He said.

Oh shit! Through all the stress of getting here safely I had completely forgotten to cover my ankle. I guess the shock really did numb a majority of the pain itself.

"Follow me." He said with a smile as he put out his hand for me to take.

I took his hand and followed him into the kitchen, watching as he grabbed a first aid kit from above the small metal fridge.

"Sit." He instructed, pointing to the kitchen counter.

"I can't." You laughed "I'm too short!"

He laughed with me as he grabbed me by my waist and lifted me onto the counter like I was the lightest thing in the world.

Grabbing my ankle gently, he used a damp wipe to clean away the blood around the cut.
I couldn't help but admire his features that were being lit up by the moonlight. His face so defined and chiselled, like it was sculpted by the gods. His ice blue eyes occasionally glancing up at me, causing me to shiver as they stared right through my soul.

"Sorry if this hurts." Xavier said with a sympathetic smile. "I'm trying my best to be gentle, but this cut seems sore."

"It can't hurt more than the wound itself." I laughed. "But it doesn't hurt as much as you'd think."

"It looks pretty deep, are you sure you're okay?" He asked, worried.

"Yeah, I'm much better thanks to you."

I gave him another smile as he through away the dirty wipe and put the first aid kit back on the fridge.

Carefully, he places his cold, yet loving hands round my waist, lifting me off the counter and onto my legs.

I wince as a sharp pain shoots through my leg at the current sensation of hitting the floor.

Holding onto Xavier's hand, we make our way back into the living room with the others.

"We've decoded we all might as well stay here tonight." Chet mentioned as we walked back into the room "Then we can all leave together, we've all got our things anyway."

As I opened my mouth to speak, Brooke beat me to it.

"Don't worry (Y/N/N), Chet and Ray are taking me back to our apartment to collect our things in a second." She said with a smile.

I nodded my head as those three walked out of the house.

"Well I'm going to get some beauty sleep, it's hard looking this rad all the time." Montana laughed as she walked up the stairs "You guys can use the two pullouts, they're both kings!"

Me and Xavier sat on the couch in awkward silence before an idea popped into my mind.

"So daddy, truth or dare?
