==Video Log, Recording One==
To anyone who has managed to infiltrate the secret lab, congratulations, you aren't stupid. Nonetheless, these logs are for information I have discovered through the many resets and past experiences I had through blurry memories I could make out. If this information were to get out... let's just say there would be consequences...

Long ago, monsters and humans lived in harmony. They shared tips on magic, taught each other, and were comrades in arms. That was until humans started to grow fear at the discovery of something monsters could do. The ability to absorb the souls of not just humans, but of the supernatural
The fear only worsened as they discovered the grand difference of power they would gain. For one soul, they would multiply their power by thousands of times, and thanks to the calculations of the greatest wizards, they discovered that with 7 souls, they would become GODS.
Humans were quick to try to do the same, but it failed, seeing as how equal their souls were, and how stubborn they were to stay the same, unlike the monster soul that was flexible with any type of substance or bit of magic they could absorb.
War raged out between the two species after humans attempted to kill King Asgore. Because of the abilities of monsters, God feared the uprising of monsters against him if one powerful enough could absorb enough souls, and gave humanity a gift besides that of magic. The sacred gears, giving them abilities that broke the balance of the natural world and allowed them to defend themselves.
Many wizards and monsters that were around the world died, the casualties reaching millions upon millions before Asgore confronted God for his fears and blatant favoritism. To stop the war against humanity, both made a truce to separate from each other. God made a domain for the monsters, giving them the world of light, an area that changed to accommodate the few monsters that still lived.
Monsters are unique beings, ones that did not originate from God or any other god. They just...showed up one day, and multiplied, God being okay with it, seeing as they seemed like peaceful creatures. For some odd reason, the Underground was located in Germany.
There were many types of monsters, many that were weak and timid, while others were the strongest and mightiest. Those at the top were boss monsters, and they were most commonly found in the Fish Species, Goat Species, Skeleton Species, Elementals Species, and the Ghost Species.
The Goat Species was made of humanoid goat-like monsters that had an affinity for fire, being blessed by whoever made them as their strength was unrivaled, and their abilities unmatched. Usually, they were worshipped, the biggest example being King Asgore, who had ruled for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years.
The Fish Species was made of humanoid fish-like monsters that had an affinity for magic-made spears. Their strength was what would be best described as monstrous, being aggressive monsters that were typically meatheads though many were smart. They were typically put as Captains of the Royal Guard, being in command of many guardsmen and guardswomen.
The Skeleton Species was what many considered to be one of the strongest, if not, THE strongest species of monsters. They were typically skeletons that looked like that of monsters, but the strongest ones were the ones that looked most like humans, their souls being structured similarly. They had an affinity towards the arts of necromancy, being able to control bones and mysterious constructs made by such bones. They typically work as guardsmen and judges, though most prefer peaceful lives.
And finally, the Ghost Species, that of spirits, either through the dead or through natural means of reproduction from two undead. They were phantasm beings that could not be damaged through physical means, and are usually mischievous beings that take advantage of that strength. They can take possession of undead bodies, or inanimate objects. Once they take complete possessions, their souls will forever linger in the object as it were always their body.
The magic that monsters possessed was the most powerful, as their bodies and soul is made from magic, originating with their desires. And with the potential of LV, they had many reasons to be feared by simple humans. They were everything they were, but stronger, the only reason for retreating being because of the ability of DETERMINATION and later, FEAR that humans used.
Monsters all had a role in the Underground, be it small or big. But there is one that is almost never mentioned. The Royal Judge. They were judge, jury, and executioner, and were consisted of those who had traits of Justice. They were the King's and Queen's right-hand man and personal Guard, unmatched by all but the King.
This is everything I could gather about back then through the many books I've read. After this, a lot of stuff grows blurry, and I can feel myself forgetting important details. There are more logs then just this one, but good luck ever finding them. I have hidden them carefully around the places I know, and with them, you can know the full story.
This is Sans #3947 from Universe: DXD - 5, going out.
