Toad: who are you? Dark Toad: I am your dark side. What your heart truly desires. I am your true self. Toad: if you ARE my true self, what is it that I really want? Dark Toad: simple, you want revenge on all those who betrayed you. Those team of bullies who tormented you are still alive. By this I mean team RWBY. Toad: maybe so, but your presence is attracting grimm to our location. Dark Toad: you're right. That's the point. If you want me to disappear, then defeat me. Toad: if that's what it takes to shut you up.
What Toad doesn't know is that team RWBY was watching him.
Weiss: the-that's his dark side? Yang: *tearing up* I was hoping I never get to see this. Blake: *crying* why? Why did it had to come to this? Ruby: you guys think that WE will face our dark sides too? Velvet: *tearing up* I never wanted this to happen.
Pyrrha: *tearing up* please make it stop.
As the battle between Toad and Dark Toad is still going on, Toad finally realized something. He stopped fighting his dark side all together and hugged him.
Toad: you were right. I AM you, and you are me. Sure I'll be betrayed sometimes but if that's the way it is then it's destiny. Dark Toad: even if team RWBY will face their dark sides? Toad: if it's a test then they're gonna have to pass.
With that, dark Toad disappears and Toad faced team RWBY.
Toad: so......which one of you girls care to explain why you're here? Ruby: w-we're sorry Toad but we were so worried about you. Yang* sobs* Toad, I now understand what pain you're going through. I know we've messed up, but we're doing all we can to make up for it. Blake: *cries* so don't give up on me, on US! We love you. We didn't mean to cause you pain. We were stupid to believe what team CRDL said. If you still hate us we understand.
