Chapter One
"Momma, Momma wake up!" Priscilla, my little girl giggles and shakes me awake. I open my eyes to meet her ocean blue ones and I smile, "Good morning Cill."
"Morning Momma. Can I have pantakes?" She asks, with pleading eyes.
"If you can say it right. Not pantakes. Pancakes." I say slowly, so she can process the word.
"Tancakes?" She says, in more of a question. I just laugh and shake my head, my silly girl. I pick her up and set her on my hip. Then walk to the kitchen and make pancakes for her. I add some blueberries on them too. They are her absolute favorite. I watch her eat, pleased. Of course I'm no chief like Peeta but I can feed my daughter when needed. Oh Peeta. He was my teenage sweetheart and the heartthrob of Panem. Every girl wanted him. Yet he chose me above all, I still wonder why but it doesn't matter.
He's Cill's baby daddy and left me the day after I told him the wonderful news. I had to raise Pricilla on my own. It's hard to do. But I weave my way through the problems. Like I've done it for 3 years already. And my, she's grown very beautiful on those 3 years.
She has long brown hair and it turns blonde at the bottom of her hair, which goes past her mid back. Then she has a tint of my olive skin then Peeta's gorgeous ocean blue eyes. Peeta's eyes were a great advantage of him.
Priscilla also has my singing skills with Peeta's panting skills. Lastly she's the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She's shy at first but then warms up to you. I'm shaken out of my thoughts when Cill pulls on my pointer finger. "Momma, I full." She says with syrup all over her face. I smile and set her on the counter. Then get a washcloth, wiping her mouth.
She sticks out her tongue and says, "Ewwie." After I'm done. I laugh and set her down. She heads to the theater room and watches Bubble Guppies. Okay, she's a little spoiled. I do have a great paying job as a lawyer. I'm actually pretty good at it, since I'm very stubborn. I get my ways.
"Hey Priscilla since it's really hot out today, you want to go swimming?" I ask her. On response, she cheers and sings a little song about the word Yes. I laugh and pick her up then take her into her room. I help her into her orange with white stripes bikini, her white flower flip flops, then fish tail braid her hair back, pinning it with a sparkly white flower. She giggles and I let her off her bed.
I then hurry to my room and change into a aqua blue bikini with white stripes. I slip on my flip flops and grab my sunglasses, putting then on my head. I grab my beach bag and put sunscreen, pool toys, towels, and pack little snacks in just incase we get hungry.
I come down to see Priscilla running around, excited. "Where's my sunglasses?!" She yells. I get them for her and hand her them. She puts them on then strikes a model y pose, doing the duck face. "Alright sassy." I chuckle. She giggles and takes my hand as we head out to the beach.
~At The Beach~
It's really nice to have a beach nearby. Then again we live in District 4, the ocean district of Panem. Priscilla hands me her sunglasses and slips off her flip flops. She then plops right on the wet sand and plays with it. Cill absolutely loves the wet sand. She's already putting it on her legs, burying herself in the sand.
I take a picture of me and post it on to Instagram.
What a nice day to go to the beach! Cill loves the wet sand. #ILoveMyDaughter
I post it and my friends like it. Like SeaPrincess which is Annie, CloverFurham which is Clove and so on. I don't know this one though, "PtaMlrk" I shrug and put my phone away. Good thing it's waterproof.
"Momma look I'm sand women!" Priscilla giggles. I smile
My Little Cill.
