CHAPTER 11

  At the hospital
"Get the stretcher"The nurses said rushing Rosa to the theater room.

"Rosa hang in there!, crying"Dianna said.

"What are you guys doing here and why are you all crying this much what happened"Clark asked on seeing them after his check up.

"It's Rosa"Dianna relied crying and explained what had happen.

"Oh no!,she going to be fine"Clark said cajoling Dianna.

"I hope so,uh my phone is ringing,it's Mom"Dianna said.
Nimfa:Dianna dear what happened.
Dianna: Mom,it's Rosa, Rosa Rosa.
Nimfa: what happened to Rosa,get a hold of yourself Donna please I'm getting worried,say something.
Clark collects the phone and explained.
Nimfa:oh my God,I'm on my way

     A street
"Since it's our anniversary let's spend the whole day together,no disturbance, we'd have today to ourselves"Mariana said hugging Mariano.

"I like that,I think your phone is ringing"Mariano said moving away.

"Oh yeah,it's Nimfa"Mariana said.
Mariana: Hello Nimfa,how are you doing.
Nimfa:uhm Mariana something terrible happened to Rosa,I was told her aunt smashed a bottle on her head,I'm on my way to the hospital.
Mariana: what!,she shouted and burst into tears.

"What is wrong"Mariano asked looking worried.

"Something terrible happened to Rosa,u have to go to her"Mariana said running towards her car.

"Calm down I'll take you"Mariano said.

        At the hospital
"So how is Rosa doing"Daniel asked.

I don't know Dad,Mum this is all my fault,I won't forgive myself if anything happens to Rosa ,I know the bottle was meant for me,she risked her life just for me,why did she do that arghh,i can't bear seeing her in this condition"David said weeping.

"Shush David, Rosa is going to be fine, I'll be forever grateful for what she did, Rosa can't also bear seeing you in this condition that's why she did it for you, let's all pray for Rosa together"Nimfa said.

"Yes let's do that"Daniel said.Mariana rushed in

"Nimfa how's Rosa"Mariana asked.

"She's being attended to,let's pray for her.

"Yes"Mariana said.
 
   Some minutes later.
"It's a miracle she's stable because she already lost lot of blood before you brought her,all thanks to God, she's asleep now"The doctor said.

"Thank you Doc"They all said.

"Can I we see her now"David and Mariana asked.

"Sure but only in twos.

"Ok David and Mariana should go first,they are more worried,then Dianna and Donna next. "Nimfa suggested.

  Mona's House.
Mona soliloquize.

"Damn you Mona,you end up hurting those who love you, firstly Mariana my little sister,she loves and respect me a lot,but still I hurt her terribly,I tried stealing Mariano from her I'm also the reason her other daughter Rosa didn't grow with her, I'm the reason Rosa is separated from her parents Mariana and Mariano....Rosa shows me nothing but love and what do I do to her in return,I mistreat her,still she never gave up loving me,and now because of me she's fighting for her life I deserve nothing but hate,I don't deserve Rosa's love,I'm the reason for her miserable life.
  Mona said and starts to remember what had happened twenty years ago.

we were three sisters our parents died when I was 15 and left all their properties with our lawyer in charge,it was then handed over to me when I was 18 and back then my name was Catalina,my other sister Bernada was 16 and my youngest sister Mariana was 14,she has two childhood friend Nimfa and Roman,Roman had been in love with Mariana since they were very little.I met three guys back then in the University, they were the most fashionable, handsome guy,we were of the same age, Mariano, Samuel and Daniel

    Daniel was a womanizer but still Bernada fell in love with him but Daniel didn't return her love fortunately for he Samuel liked her but she was still there loving a guy that doesn't love her,I fell in love with Mariano but he doesn't love me.

   Roman has an elder brother named Franco he loves me but you know I was begging for love from someone else.....This faithful day Mariana and Nimfa came to the  university, Mariano and Daniel on seeing them already liked them,soon Mariana and Mariano starting dating,I was very angry and started making Mariana's life miserable , Nimfa and Daniel also were already dating after a year Bernada then accepted Samuel,Nimfa was already pregnant with Daniel's child, their parents then got them married.

I and Roman conspired to ruin Mariana and Mariano's relationship but all our efforts were in vain,after nine months Nimfa gave birth to a baby boy and named him Alex,two years later Nimfa and Bernada were pregnant, Mariana was already pregnant too,I found out before she did,I told Roman about it and he gave me some pills to put in Mariana's drink,so it would terminate her pregnancy but I couldn't hurt my little sister and her unborn child, Mariana and Mariano got married same as Bernada and Samuel on the same day,I was really hurt,Roman blamed their successful marriage on me for being so incompetent.

Nine months later Nimfa gave birth to twin and named the David and Donna.., Bernada gave birth to a girl  and named her Natty..., Mariana also gave birth to twins and named them Rosa and Rosita.. Roman said he was going to kidnap the children,and kill me afterwards,I fought with him and said I was going to tell Mariana about the whole truth, I went to Mariana's,I was about confessing what Rosita started burning up,I told Mariana and Mariano to take her to the hospital I'll stay back with Rosa and they agreed.

Few minutes later Roman came with his goons,they kidnap me and Rosa,there was a CCTV camera around the house Roman manipulated it and made it look like I kidnapped Rosa...,when Mariana and Mariano arrived they couldn't find I and Rosa,they went to check the CCTV footage but then it was already manipulated, Mariana believed I did it because I was so mean to her,I hated her because Mariano chose her

Roman shot me trice,and Rosa one but luckily it was only a scratch,he then ordered his men to throw us in the river...,two weeks after the incident i woke up and saw Franco I asked what happened and explained all that happened and said one of the men of Roman who was asked to throw us in the river brought us to him instead because Franco had been good to him.

I was already a wanted and there was a five million reward for anyone that finds me... Franco then suggested I change my identity,I agreed and did a plastic surgery and changed my name to Mona after that we moved to a small town, Franco had cut all ties with Roma after 5years we came back to the city, no one could recognize us,when Rosa was 10.

Franco called me up this faithful and said he already found  evidence and the real CCTV footage that will prove my innocence,after thirty minutes he called me again that he had secured the evidence, Roman will pay for all his crime suddenly I heard a gun shot,some minutes later someone from an hospital called me and told me my husband was shot several times and he's dead at that time my world crumbled,I couldn't bring myself to believe my husband is dead,the only man that loves me so much,I almost went insane,after his burial his lawyer told me he will end all his property to me and Rosa but I cared less

I lost all the money gambling,the little I had I used to rent a house in the slum area,I didn't take care of Rosa,I always hurt her and today I almost killed her,God please forgive me, please don't let Rosa die,I know I'm a terrible person Rosa please forgive me.
