A Proper Date (Yumalia oneshot)

  Today was the day. Yugo was going to ask Amalia out for a day in the kingdom. He refused to call it a date, but Adamai said otherwise. He first wanted help, so he went to Evangelyne and Tristepin. The little family had just settled down after the twins were born, so who knows what they're up to.

  Yugo knocked on the door to the home, the door being opened by a tall red head. "Yugo! Hey pal, what's up?", Tristepin opened the door to let Yugo in. Yugo stepped in and sighed," Pinpin..I..I need your help with something.", Yugo admitted. "What's up bro?", Pinpin asked as he sat down on the sofa.

  "What was your first date with Evangelyne like? Like uhm, what did you do and where did you go?",Yugo asked shyly. Eva peered her head over with a sly grin, making Yugo blush. "Well our first date? We went to a fight and ended up getting caught in the middle of it. Luckily that was before Eva's pregnancy with the babies but still. Why do you ask?",Pinpin questioned, but Eva already knew the answer.

  "Well uhm, I'm gonna ask Amalia to hang out! Yea! Just hang out as platonic friends!",Yugo lied. Pinpin shrugged but Eva knew it was more than that.

  "How are the babies? They seem happy and so do you two.", Yugo asked. "Elely bit me the other day and Flopin yanked on Pinpin's ears.", Eva admitted. Yugo snickered," That's cute..".

  After a while of talking and such, Yugo left and made his way to the Sadida kingdom through the Zaap portal that wasnt too far from Eva and Pinpin's house.

  Yugo took a deep breath before knocking on the entrance to Amalia's room. She sat there, reading in her bed. "Yugo! Hi? What do you need?",she asked. Yugo gulped and blushed a little,"Amalia..do you want to uh, hang out tomorrow? Like for dinner and such?", Yugo asked.

  Amalia's cheeks turned a faint red,"Yea! It's a date!", she replied, not thinking about her words as she blushed more. Yugo nearly fainted but held it together,"Yea! I'll see you then Amalia!", he replied and raced out of the room. Amalia held her face in her hands as she blushed more.

  The time for their date had arrived. Yugo nor Amalia wanted something fancy. Yugo made the food for the night and had the idea of hiding on a hill to see the stars. Amalia on the other hand, had no idea of what they were doing this night.

  Yugo showed up in his signature blue hat, shorts and shirt with a little makeshift bow tie he found in his room. Amalia wore a nice dress and her head piece. The dress wasnt so fancy, it had flowers at the hem of the dress and a leafy top piece that held on nicely. Yugo blushed when he set eyes on her, looking away slightly.

  "Shall we get going?",she asked and Yugo nodded, leading her to the hill he picked out. Amalia looked around and the scene was beautiful. It wasnt too classy but it was nice. The area was littered in flowers and grass. Yugo laid out the blanket on the grass and sat down.

  "I uh, made us dinner..",he stated shyly as he pulled everything out. He made his Classic gobbowl stew and bread, which he gained the recipe from Xav thr Baker ages ago. "Wow..it looks so good!",Amalia said as she looked at all of the food.

  "Thanks. I had some help from Adamai and my dad. I made the bread by myself though, cant have dad destroying our inn and such",Yugo joked as Amalia laughed.

  "Well thank you anyways. Any reason you brought me out though? N-not to be mean! I enjoy this time with you!!", Amalia rushed, a cherry red color flushing her cheeks. Yugo blush a little,"I just..wanted to be around you.", he admitted.

  Yugo wasnt normally shy and such, but when he was, it made Amalia's heart clench. She thought it was adorable. Sometimes it made Yugo feel like a sissy, which is why he liked acting tough like Tristepin.

  "Anyways...gobbowl stew?",Yugo offered a bowl to Amalia. The Sadidette nodded and started eating, along with Yugo. "Wow Yugo! I knew you could cook but I didnt expect this!",Amalia exclaimed in a happy tone. Yugo chuckled," Thank you! I learned all my tips and tricks from my dad.".

  The night went on like that. Full of laughter and conversations of the old times. "So..the stars are pretty huh?",Amalia asked. Yugo mumbled under his breath, but agreed. "What did you say?", she asked again.

  "I said they arent as pretty as you..", he mumbled with his cheeks flushed red. Amalia felt her face heat up as she looked back at the stars. "Sorry I made this awkward..I can just head bac-" "No...I thought it was cute.", Amalia interrupted. Yugo smiled a little and fiddled with his bow tie.

  Amalia sat up and leaned down to kiss Yugo's nose with her own, also known as an Eskimo kiss. Yugo's face was beet red, this was new to him. It was new to Amalia too, but she wasnt so sure where her spark of confidence came from.

  Yugo slowly leaned in and captured her lips on his. As if programmed to, Amalia instantly kissed him back. It was something they had both been longing for. Yugo pulled away for air, and to stare at Amalia but that's not the point.

  "So..what does this make us now..?",the Sadidette asked quietly. Yugo shrugged,"Sorry, I didn't know what I was thinking. I promise I wont do it again!".

  Amalia smiled and chuckled," I thought this is where the boy would ask the girl to be his girlfriend, not apologize..". Yugo smiled nervously," Well then..would you?",he asked sheepishly. Amalia nodded and kissed him again.
