*Inspired by Suicide in the Trenches
I knew a little key worker girl,
Who laughed and smiled at all the world.
Worked all day, would never complain,
And then the next morning, would work again.
In a hospital bed, scared and alone,
With coughs and cries, far from home.
She lost all oxygen to her brain,
Things were never the same again.
You lockdown flouters who go out at light,
Who clap for carers on a Thursday night.
Stay home and pray you'll never know,
The hell where all these people go.
